Don't read this unless you have smoj and have listened to it or don't mind loosing the surprise. I was after the noise tracks most of all however they just lack the feel of Merzbow tracks so I'm presuming this is solo afx noise? Also ktpa1 is a remix of a spectrum tape which is funny I guess but I dunno, I have Timehunter and I've listened to it a countless amount of times but am I gonna do the same with this? Merzbow can make noises that ignite the senses then glitch it at that point for a sensory overload. Does Aphex just resent us so much now that he is going to just constant pisstake? It's 10am and I just got this EP I feel like a fucking nerd but I'm so disappointed and I really didn't want to be. I really do feel like shit, a mix of emotion between being sad enough to come on here at this time exclusively for this and having the impulse to diss afx. I've never done that before. I'm gonna go back to bed I think. Let down to fuck, i got three copys of this expecting it to be the fucking best thing ever and hand my friends copys to make them smile too. fuck. first track good tho. am i listening to this wrong or something? |

Dude, all I have been doing is listening to merzbow. I can't get over all the sounds you can hear and feel. It does so much for me and I walk around stoned with it on my mp3 player constantly feeling like I have fucking ascended. I used to do the same for afx so I was expecting my tits to be blown off. I think I was just expecting way too much. The build up in my mind was huge. Get the single for the A side tho! I got vinyl and CD. |

im glad to hear (sorry spikee) that its not just like merzbow. im not so very keen on heavy stuff. if its a bit noisy ambient, then ill be satisfied, because thats what i expect from waht i heard in here and the rephresch night. the hype is way too much anyway for such a short e.p. lets all keep the head []-) |
