Hmm, well maybe its just the reletive newness of it to me
(although i had heard about 1/3rd of the tracks before
buying), but it seems to me that this is Richard's best
work...! The piano tracks are all great, and although gwarek
2 messed with my head a little, the overall experience was
incredible. There are just too many good tracks to list (and
im sure it's been done about 500,000 times by this point)!
Thank you, mister James. Please sir, m-m-may I have some
more?

Some people don't like it. Which is beyond me. I also liked
it. It had a modern cageish feel to it. IMO.

yeah, i agree.... this is an excellent album! still, after
like a year or whatever, it STILL is SO fresh to listen to!
really vivrant work!

though, i still think rdj album is his best. imho.

the piano tracks on that are a waste of time as far as I'm
concerned, they just tear away at the time I could spend
listening to the better tracks,

i took it out and blew the dust off of it a few weeks ago..
hadn't given it a good slooshie since it came out really..

I ended up liking it waay more than I used to! I used to
like primarily the piano bits.. but now I'm totally digging
the acid break stuff or whatever you want to call the non
piano tracks.

loved the entire album right from the getgo, i dont really
see how anyone could actually dislike it, but to each his
own!

This album is bound to become a classic of IDM, it's great!
The totallity, piano parts and even "happy birthday to you"
(even though it seems hilarious) make this one into a
masterpiece of which each and every sound is essential.

this is his all time best work

there are NO TRAX

NONE! That have become boring.

some might think so, but i doubt it.

like the "train" song, heh gweerely murmans, which it feels
like a TRAIN IS BEARING DOWN ON YOU AND YOU CANNOT ESCAPE
IT!!!

and gwarek2 is a fucking MASTERPIECE, even though it seems
everyoen hates it.

i swear, they must have NO BASS RESPONSE in their fucking
systems.

well, i doubt many ppl can do 145dbs at 30Hz (you reallyn
eed it for that song) LOL

why is this the best album evar?

uhh prolly cuse richard doesn't pump out music every
6months that is OLD AND TIRESOME in 6months.

he spends his time, does it RIGHT and doesn't fuck around.

he makes his music so that it LASTS.

it will last for years and years.
i swear i have listened to drukqs more times than, well,
anything

almost every day, i hardly miss a day listening to oen
song.

you can't top it.

yeah, ziggomatic 17 is quite possibly the most complete song
i have ever heard. It's absolutely perfect at its length,
and it's musically perfect throughout... i love it.

simple and a little..er..."wrong" (love Avril 14th though)
Love the rest of the album too.

By "wrong " you mean of of key/tune?

They're supposed to be like that, gives them that classic
"played live effect".
Ironic because they're not played live.

All very rustic sounding piano tracks, that remind me of
being in an old cobwegg endowed mansion.

my musical appreciation is dependent on emotion/feeling
expressed, not complexity. if you think they sound "wrong"
i'm not sure you got it.

...because, for what they are, they couldn't be any
different, perfection. and i don't think it's supposed to
be a live sound either.

offline TonePu5her from lincoln !UK! (United Kingdom) on 2003-04-03 15:26 [#00631266]

Then why would he specifically incorperate foot pedal sounds
in the tracks if he doesn't wan't that live sound?

well, that maybe so, but i guess i was saying that i don't
feel the actual composition was "wrong" for live effect.
maybe that's not what CS2x was talkin bout though.

ahhhahhah...i agree with elusive for the most part....
ahh the piano tracks are masterful on this cd!! richard's
best work ever!!
ziggomaticv17 is totally completely gorgeous in every way,
and the computer saying "thank you" at the end makes it so
much better...:)

it's definitely the most listened to cd i have,
it never does get old. i will still listen to drukqs when
im in a super ultra jazzy 300500023000.233.. and parapalegic
at the age of 105...:)

ahhhhhh....
gwely mernans..that song isn't long enough....

gwarek2 is a masterpiece.

i dont understand why

they pass it off as "too simple" maybe and dont listen to
the whole thing.

oh man

how i love those ending notes

omg
those notes
take me away
so far

i wished rich would have done the soundtrack to a creepy
