I have...on several occassions...some songs are too
emotional, wouldn't you agree? Avril 14th by AFX for
example *cries like a girl* :P

some itmes but never with idm and it was really cos I was
really sad when listening to the music, so the music helped
but was not the cause

I've never cried to any music. But, yes, some tunes are very
emotional, you feel it in your stomach. Joe Hisashi's music
makes me feel like that.

Fair enough Nac, when I've done it i've always been in a
really happy frame of mind and some songs just chike me
up...has to be a darn good song though :P It's like when
you're really young and you are really, really happy about
something and you cry...lol, maybe that was just me :S

what does ditto mean?

I just remembered I almost cried when listening to La Boheme
(puccini´s opera)

yes in the last Area when he discovers that Mimi is dead and
not asleep... that was a beautiful opera... and listening to
it in the real theatre of Madrid was amazing

ditto means "the same"

Ditto means 'same here'

Okay so what music is the most easy to cry to? I suppose
opera but I think I'd fall asleep within a few minutes :P

Ha ha, for a second there I though you meant "La Boheme" by
Dubstar.

For me it does tend to be a case of, sad mood, sad music,
makes you cry.

When I was in my teens music used to be able to make me cry
even if I was happy, but that was more really overwhelming
rather than sad pieces.

Depends how evocative the song is -- it can be an apparently
innocent track, but it will stir something inside me -- that
happened listening to Cyndi Lauper's "Time after Time" and
O'connor's "Nothing Compares 2 U"

i remember it distinctly... it was 1985, i had just come in
from the pouring rain. i clutched in my shivering fingers
the new public image limited record... i put it on the hi-fi
and kicked back with my favorite bottle of apple cider. it
was just me and johnny rotten... drifting, swimming through
time and space... ah, what a night that was. the savage
rhythms of "rise" carried me out the window and far away
into the night sky.

Hejira by Joni Mitchell always gets me choked up, and
Coltrane's My Favorite Things can make me weep with delight
if I've had a few drinks.

Yanni indirectly makes me cry - but it's more from bashing
my skull against the edge of the table.
