Have you ever shed a tear listening to a particular song?

The song that would bring me closest to shedding a tear
would be 'Roads' by Portishead.

I have, in my head, a scene from a movie never made that
would go well with that track.

memorries linked to the song.

Rhubarb and Vletmrx21 have been known to make me emotional.
And Pet Sounds, at times... a lot of stuff chokes me up, I'm
a pansy. A lot of music that reminds me of certain
people/situations is hard to listen to.

in recent memory:
giorgio moroder's vocal version of "midnight express"
cee-lo's verse in big boi's "reset"
hood's "the winter hit hard", especially when i sing along

emotional fragility.

sometimes i'm feeling shitty, and my family and friends try
to cheer me up - i really don't appreciate it. i like to
explore the grief. it's healthy, i think. music helps you do
that.

there are many songs that make me shed a tear, i'm such an
emotional sap. reitschule by do make say think gets me
everytime...especially when the solo trumpet part comes in
about halfway thru. it's utterly beautiful, as are most of
their songs.

It's neve just because of the song, I cry probably less than
once a year, and it's not the music's fault, but it helps.

Adagio for Strings by Barber is the closest I've ever come.
And not when it was played in a movie.

shhhhh... she's playin "guess who" with some friends right
now.

beck - one of these days
chris connelly - the last of joy
deftones - teenager (was going through a rough brakeup)
some danny elfman
some godspeed (not real a sad cry, more a beauty cry)
mogwai - ep+2
portishead
erik satie

most of this all depends on my mood, etc..
it's very varried.

I've cried to a lot of music... if you're in the right mood
and close your eyes, its quite easy to shed some tears. its
nice.

the thing is, I can easily cry when watching movies too, and
it doesn't have to be like one of those sad films. for
example, I've cried to 'the matrix'.

nin - the great below
seefeel - plainsong
aphex twin - rhubarb/stone in focus

all songs that can make me cry (if in the right mood) not
only because of their sad atmosphere but also because of the
sheer beauty.
