I haven't seen that yet, but I've heard it's good -- I quite
like Sandler and I like the director's other stuff too :)

I know he has a film in production right now, called LOST IN
TRANSLATION. I'm really hoping they make Ghostbusters III in
time for the 20th anniversary of the original :) With
original cast of course! :)

I agree. rushmore is much, much better than the Royal
Tenenbaums.

its like he tries to have weird characters and make them
kind of spark in the Royal T. but he just fails. there's no
pizzaz. in rushmore, on the other hand, SPARKS FLY!! :)

re: Ghostbusters III - Actually the movie Evolution (the one
with David Duchovny) was originally going to be just that,
but apparently the original cast asked for too much money.
Or someone from the original cast. If I had to place
a bet, I'd say it was Winston Zedmore. That fucker.

Tell me about it. I couldn't even watch all of it, had to
turn it over.

I think maybe the time has passed for another sequel -
they're all a bit crusty now ;)

Haha Jarworski, me and my brother used to quote 'And the
flowers.. are still standing!' all the time.

The funniest part for me in Rushmore was, bizarrely, when
Bill Murray climbs over the fence in school, and then leaves
by running real fast. I mean, what the fuck? :D

I think a ghostbusters with the original cast would be by
far the best way to go. They're making a sequel to The
Goonies using the original cast - Ghost Busters without the
originals wouldn't be that good I don't think - their
characterisations were an integral part of its greatness! :)

"They're making a sequel to The Goonies using the
original cast..."

Words cannot express my excitement!!
Has filming started yet?

I highly doubt the Goonies sequel will ever appear -
apart from Sean Astin, none of them have done squat since.
Can't really see them all grown up having the same charm
they did when they were younger...

I think Ghostbusters 3 is more likely, but without the
original cast. Maybe one of them would make a cameo (Akroyd
more than likely) but I can see the studio wanting to fill
it with young gorgeous twenty something superstars... eww

FOR YOUR INFORMATION BUDDY, THERE IS A PHOTO OF THEM ALL
GROWN UP, WITH THE DIRECTOR!!!! THEY ARE GONNA MAKE THE
GOONIES II YOU DIRTY WELSH BASTARD! DON'T JINX IT!!!!! ;)

...btw, if Ghostbusters III didn't star the original cast, I
wouldn't watch it! Only if Bill Murray had a cameo, and only
then because I've promised myself to watch every film he's
made!

For your information you dumb yank wannabe spazwit, there's
a photo of them all with the director cause they issued a
Goonies special edition dvd (which is only region one at
present) in which the cast reuinted and did some
documentaries about the original film! GOONIES 2 IS A MYTH!

that they don't all hate each other - and I've read that
Goonies II is in pre-production - visualise and it WILL
happen! And don't dare call me a dumb yank wannabe spazwit!
I'm none of the above!

The Ghostbusters were fuckin racist, petty bourgeois twats.
Why didn't they make Winston a full member of the team? He
was just the hired nigger on a temporary contract and
minimum wage. Fukkkers.

Naturally you're going to furnish some proof Jonesy? He had,
after all, been there only 2 weeks by the time it all kicked
off at the end--so you could hardly make him a partner in
such a short time could you?

Why? You can't trust a guy after a couple of weeks? You

So you would expect to be made partner of a firm 2 weeks
after starting employment there? I think he was trusted was
he not? There were never any signs of distrust there -- in
fact, they hired him on the spot at his interview...and him
and Ray got along well, and even engaged in some kind of
philosophical conversation in ECTO-1 at one point. I think
you're looking for racism that isn't there.

Stripes

Notice that just before John Winger (Murray) loses his car,
his pizza ;), his girlfriend and his appartment, he steps on
a crack in the pavement!

Notice that it is actually Bill Murray driving the taxi when
it skids to a halt on the bridge at the beginning!

Notice that the scene where Bill Murray first dunks a
basket, then throws the BBall thru the window, and then
Ziskey (Harold Ramis) throws his coat onto the hatstand was
all ONE TAKE! pretty nice sequence that!

Notice the similiarities in dialogue between Stripes & Ghost
Busters! I can recall three right now----

01
Stripes: "You can't park here!"
Ghostbusters: "You can't park that here!"

02
Stripes: "I'll be in my office if you need me
Ghostbusters: "I'll be in my office if you need me"

03
Stripes: "And then...depression set in"
Ghostbusters: "And then...she threw me out of her life"

I'm sure there's more similarities, and it's a private joke
between Murray and Ivan Reitman, who directed both films! :)
