i saw a woman in the supermarket today who looked comically
like Brian Wilson, whilst a Beach Boys track was playing on
the PA, and it was all that I could do, to look away and
ponder life.

i'm embarrassed to say i adore this track. the lyrics are
dumb, but if you can get past that, the vocal harmonies. you
know the cover of radical connector by mouse on mars? that
was their album focusing on vocals. and this track gives me
ribbons like that, in gold. but funny thing is, that mOm
album gives me plenty of visuals, but not actually that...

anyways, this is about where i get jealous of people who
have their voice as a weapon. like, just how you'd compose
if you could simply sing overdubs all day. and then it's
like... rarely a bar without some sort of layered accent
buried in there

but the lyrics are still dumb as shit.

i like the accent, the chorus. the rest of the lyrics, da
club, VIP, bleh.

also i think she's "plus-size" or something? i just heard it
on youtube ages ago i wasn't really awash in context

Finished this game called Disco Elysium, it was truly one of
the best things I've played in the past decade. Such good
writing, music and atmosphere.

I had to stop playing when this track came on, every time:
Red Rock Riviera(Day) 3 - Disco Elysium OST

Fucking love that shit. Never heard of British Sea Power
before but this is ace.

i've learned so incredibly much about how the brain works,
and then, on top of that, how mine in particular works --
but sometimes, it's really just as much a mystery to me as
ever

that this track literally popped into my head randomly at
least four times today, that it's almost kind of pestering
me. same feel as if you have a dog and dog wants walkies and
hey wait a bit i have to finish this work. and after a few
rounds you're worn down and ok dog you win. so i finally sat
there and sifted through about 30 tracks of "no that's not
it" until i found "that song with that bit" and here it is

LAZY_TITLE

that like a dog, it can be a pain, but it's worth it. when i
finally found it, i'm immediately like: the production on
this track is fantastic. if i weren't so tired i'd go rip
some of this off right now

what does the fox say

i have not listened to this in years, and it popped into my
hed, so i put it on. then i am quite actually laughing aloud
-- yeah, some journalist writing about this. saying it's
actually a parody of dubstep's car alarm noises... yes, yes,
yes. combined with little kids asking "what does this animal
say?" and there's not always an answer. so they were sitting
about, like, oh "the fox makes dubstep sounds" and from
there it's... having a laugh doing dubstep in acapella;
eventually getting into autotune... then, you can also hear
them saying, "yeah, this dubstep shit sounds like i'm
listening to morse code" and you get "how will you
communicate with that horse orse orse? in morse orse orse?"

cornball as it is i think this is one of the most clever
songs in the last 20 years
