It looks good. Don't gush so much in the writing on the site. It humanizes you. Slightly cool, withdrawn and mysterious would suit the design (and the music!) better; try to seem almost reluctant to reveal anything about yourself. reporter: "What do you want me to tell the people about Miles Davis?" Miles: "Don't tell them NOTHING. Let them guess." |

Like Squarepusher's pretentious comments. He def has room for saying that shit. But it made me laugh and not buy his album when it came out tho. such a lil fucker. as for the site, it's designed well. joyrex is good. I agree with the nav bar. Needs to stand out more. also, the text gets a lil hard to read when the bg is really complex and/or dark. Maybe that scrolling window can have a 10% opacity backing of white. just a thought. but what do I know. I'm not a designer. or maybe I am? ;) |

Zeus - regarding the bio, I'd perhaps just offer a little comment why you got started making music. If you have a particular aim in mind then maybe state that. Nothing too extravagent, just a little taster of who you are. Then leave the rest to people's imagination. Don't feel compelled to write up a biog. If people need it (say for interviews etc) then email a bit of info to them. I think putting up a bio can only be detrimental to the reception of someone's music. You don't want to give the wrong impression, start off on the wrong foot etc by a misleading bio... :) Hope this helps a little. I know how hard it is to try and get a decent bio up - now I just have a line or two saying what I'm up to. Rest of the site looks great. Thumbs-up. |

I liked 'Confield' too. but let's leave it at that.. let's appreciate it without trying to create hollow duplicates of it.. I mean really. do u actually consider that an accomplishment of any kind? if you're gonna come out with your own shnazzy website with a laughably pretentious write-up from one of your alert-merited icq friends, with the overwrought track titles and all that.. you need to deliver! ...you can't hit us with a six minute reverberated C-minor chord from your midi keyboard w/ a little phaser on top . NO! that's been done. and , quite frankly, there's nothing interesting about it.. give us good reason to listen and believe your lauding in the bio-section. we dont want half a breakbeat in reverse with some static over it.. even if you're going to try to excuse it by calling it "glitch" or a sound collage.. listen to me.. what you've done could be done by anyone and quite possibly better. why do we need to pay attention to your website !? why you and not the next guy that is trying his damnedest to distort his sample of a door slamming beyond recognition, extending it into a 4 minute opus of masturbatory experimental splendor, and forcing it onto his forum of choice, hoping to yet again fool those who don't know any better. it's presented in your website as if it's the second coming of christ in mp3 format.. when in reality it's the thirty-second reiteration of an autechre-aping fruitylooper fronting like he's an artist. don't try to be someone else by sucking the soul out of other individuals and vomiting it out on all of us. you didnt' convince me, theocide certainly didn't convince me, and the jaw-dropping pretense of the whole operation only helped to repel me. I'm not saying you're not talented. I'm saying you have done little to prove you're anything new, or that you give us any real reason to hear something worthy of the praise u've given yourself |
