I've got some mad fuck up noise I want to put in. I'll slap
it all in a tune and whizz-bang it's in there. Yeah bitch
get it in there. I have sex noises I want to put in. Either
that or everyone must e-mail me themselves faking an orgasm
or having a real one so they can all be put together at the
end in a mass climax of the massacre. Yeah! GANGBANG!

we need to email everyone involved when we get this shit
organized and let them know the deal and where to go to hear
mix before theres. the message board might not be enough
communication. just in case n stuff, yanno

Ok, first things first..

We are going to need a place on the web to keep the current
file. Eventually, we'll run into problems emailing the
"song" as it grows...

before their mix that is

If Im not first im going to try to make fun of the song
before mine. by fuidly blending it in then remixing it
pretty shitty. then ill just progress on to something
different. its sort of the same concept as
http://tiles.ice.org

could be xltronic

are we not just gunna send the last 15 secs to the person
after us? if we are then what are we gunna do with it after
it finished and whos gunna compile it?

sounds like a cooler idea, more ambitious even.

We'll also have to include 30 second sound clips from the
end of each completed induvidual track. So that the people
using a 56k modem (like me!) wont have to dl a lengthy
incomplete composition to get the last 30 seconds of it.

How about everyone who wants to do it has to have said by
00:00GMT 16th Feb? Then we arrange the order and set a start
date of 23rd or something. That gives people enough time I
think. I'm happy to set up an e-mail account that we can all
share. Something like xltronica_massacre@hotmail.com
Everyone can send an e-mail with their name HERE to that
address when it's set up. I'll give eveyone the password for
the address. Sound good?

Not to shit on anyone's, ideas. But I think e-mailing the
last 30 seconds of the previous completed track is simpler.

I didn't mention how long each person got. I wasn't sure
about that. If we all started now maybe then when you get
the other persons part then you decide how you want it to
link. Straight up cross-over, Beatmatched, whatever. I don't
know. I'm not very organised.

No he revealed his true identity to me a few weeks ago. hes
Bob Barker. And Ceri had a chance to respond awhile ago. I
guess hes not interested.

when u make ur slice of the cake, and pass it on, you'll
need to tell the next person what BPM ur part is, i think.

Points: 4266 Status: Lurker | Followup to mylittlesister: #00530280

i really dont need to know the bpm cause i dont work that
way...but I need a part of the beat... so you can say that I
need to know what bpm it is in some way. but not precisly.

offline mylittlesister from ...wherever (United Kingdom) on 2003-01-27 10:12 [#00530284]

whenever I do remixes of things I always get frustrated by
trying to figure out the bpm, so that the loops/samples fit

end of the track before yours.

i would like it more, if i could choose the sample i make
longer, but this woulf cause chaos...

i don't think the idea with beat detection will be good...
will be more fun without it...

offline Dolleater from Afrika Bambaataa on 2003-01-27 11:32 [#00530343]

You guys can do whatever youd like.

its a pretty simple concept:
Im going to make a 2 minute track, then hand the last 30
seconds of the track to the next person in line.

Then its up to him how to make the transition.

[doll's track][artist2][artist3]...and so on.

I'd be cool if someone made some seemless transitions into
thier song. But anything goes I guess.

offline Dolleater from Afrika Bambaataa on 2003-01-27 11:34 [#00530344]
Points: 4819 Status: Addict

Then Mickey Mouse will peice them together into a dope
collaborative composition of sorts.

I'm guessing a lot more people are going to want to do this,
so I think we should do 2 sets like soulseek did.

Also, should we assign numbers to all the people who
volunteered so far?
