Telling us all that we ''need to get laid'' and calling
people names automatically destroys any credibility you
might have had. I mean, come on... not like anyone's going
to take you seriously after that.

Please don't kick my ass, you 6'3'' Bruce Lee wannabe!!! :-O

board.

true plugexpert..hot as a mofugga

coming from Australia though it was a nice change to the
shite weather.....

On the music side of thingd it is true that the electronica
labels have been suffering most...

it's all richard's fault.. if he just went mainstream and
dragged everyone into idm then sales would raise.

no, from djing.

rich dj, get it?

So quiv, if you really were Richard Devine you wouldn't have
answered with pathos??? straight away, you would have asked
what the place was called again. Anyone could look that up
on the Warp site to get that info. If you were Rich D you
would have added some info to prove you were there, but to
no avail...

I agree with your points but why can't you just tell us who
you are?

Okay I read this entire thing and the following are ice
cubes and chunks of meat that fell from my brain, I
apologise in advance:
First I think that the anonymous quivvuulum has presented
logical intelligent posts and has defended itself well. (the
"get laid" bit was just justifiable defence from hostile
offense)
Well suppose decreased sells force labels to stop releasing
great obscure material because it won't profit them... this
shouldn't be the end of the future's music quality (er.. for
the minority of people that care about music enough to go
beyond the cultural back street boy stuff into stuff that
actually logically scientifically sounds good) because these
artists will still be making mp3's and sharing them in this
new system that won't give them money. But true, we almost
all make music with some software program that we didn't pay
for... the geniuses that created those deserve money too.
I think it's too optomistic to think people will be willing
to purchase an artists cd just to support them (give them
money) when the option of downloading for free exists. Think
introspectively, if I had a fast enough connection and a
proper cd burner that didn't clip the ends of songs I'd
probably just download everything instead... take the stance
of screw the system. An individual might litter some trash
because this single piece of trash has little effect on the
environment and the fact that society will continue to
litter regardless of whether you take a small part almost
justifies it...

"Hey quivvy : I read that mike p interview you copied and
pasted (illegally I might add)"

lol, I don't really know the laws regarding copying/sharing
other's creative output/work... Is soulseek truly illegal? I
honestly don't know, craxy humans can make any politcial
(the art of getting what you want) laws they want though.
"fucked over by their fans"
just love this quote, sounds like a great cd title
"i have no feeling towards my fans dude, unless i meet them

and we get to know each other"
humorous indifferent comeback, lol
"we *all* know computer musicians can't get girlfriends!"
good argument there, I've never been laid myself and I DO...
need it like quivvuulum said...
"maybe if labels started adding some extra's in the
cd'casings,.("
don't think that'd be much motivation, plus these (visuals,
videos, etc.) can be shared for free too... well there was
this one cd that came with a birthday candle in it... of
course the limit of this is that they only put in
economocially cheep stuff or it would go against selling the
cd in the first place...
"get a job instead of trying to make money in music"
good suggestion I guess, working does suck though... maybe
they need a music union and shit, a union is an organization
that fights for the workers (the workers being those who
create art). That might actually work...

A political organization that will fight the system for our
benefit, everyone else does it. Let's all elect the warp and
schematic artists as representatives. eh, they probably
wouldn't know how to go about doing it, neither would I.
warp could set aside some of their money to pay people who
do. I don't know what I'm talking about.

I'm very curious as to what music you create now quivvuulum,
if you want to remain anonymous to be unbiased and stuff for
the sake of this discussion, you can email me if you want or
something and tell me and I PROMISE I won't tell anyone else

argh, this was an exhausting read but well worth it. I
changed my mind, I don't think qu is a troll anymore, I
think he is being serious. But I still hold my ground from
that other thread: music is one thing, business is another.
Music does not die along with business and if it does it was
not worth any respect in the first place.
