Well with an apartment, then I'd probably swallow my pride
and use them more often, when I want to play it LOUD... but
only grudgingly. Maybe if there was some kind of bubble you
could put over your head to simulate a large room and its
acoustics, and nobody else could hear it... someday.

Better year, soundproof walls.

listening to 'gantz graf' turned up super-loud on my
studio-monitor headphones when i was having a fit proved to
be an incredibly calming experience - almost like listening
to the sound of ocean waves crashing against the shore on an
empty beach - i kid you not! also, 'confield' is wicked
highway night-driving music, as i have discovered!

I'm with Ophecks when he says he uses headphones as a last
resort, it's not like mine are crap or anything...it's just,
the stereo is the way to go bizoyches.

ahhh...headphones allow me to experience the minute
attention to every little detail of the music...
confield is brilliant w/ them. my brain is melting right
now to uviol. and tri-repetae/chiastic slide are really
good with them too, even with high-quality mp3s too.!..
...
so hooray for headphones
