The power of Christ compels you! The power of Christ compels
you!

I do do what the wife says. It’s easier that way.
Unless it contravenes some sacred personal law, in that case
I stand my ground.

with you so far

Tbh Idk if it is a good idea. Speaking tobacco here,
still dipping in the weed. I have come to realise cigarettes
are there to fill the void of existence, the nothing, the
deep nothing. I’m craving a cigarette, I wonder what I
could do instead, something, anything!! And I am doing some
things, all kinds of unnecessary things. Is it either a
passive smoke filled life or a busy body smoke free
existence. Need to find some middle ground or I might turn
into something I don’t want to be.

oh, ok, this is the disconnect ~

i thought you were talking purely about weed, just there. if
your wife tells you to quit cigarettes, she's probably
right. if your wife tells you not to take bong rips all day,
she's probably right. if your wife tells you to never smoke
weed, well, that's against some sacred personal law. this is
all i really meant -- that, while i won't make any excuses
for cigarettes or chain-smoking blunts, occasional weed is
very important to my mental health and so it probably is for
others too

w/rt to zigs, i actually found there was actually an amazing
addiction to the ritual itself that you'd never notice if
you didn't try something to replace it. like: a few weeks
ago, i was more or less over the worst of the withdrawals
from zigs, but i saw someone smoking one in a movie or
something and GOD DAMN IT i really want to smoke a zig but,
the fuck, it'd just overwhelm me and i wouldn't even enjoy
it

so i found these "hemp cigarettes" i got at the mall. no
nicotine, no weed either really, even though they smell
exactly like weed. i mean, i got them at the mall, they
clearly do nothing. but, weirdly enough, the act of smoking
something formed like a cigarette really calmed me down
significant number of notches. the ritual itself is part of
the addiction. try breathing exercises

ciggie cravings are the quickest to pass in my experience if
you can distract yourself.

currently on a 2 week hiatus from canna, doing pretty well
with a change of scenery but the procrastination is starting
to show up. did 5 weeks sober last year, same thing, ended
up being an unproductive month.

alcohol is the easiest for me to go without as long as im
not around others drinking i can have just 1, think my body
has learned its bad after all the acute poisoning, although
it's still stress relieving, after about a month i feel like
i want a drink. i tried NA and found it seems to work just
as well, maybe its the microdosing, kombucha kind of has the
same effect.

yeah we have this old e-cig shaped like a cigarette (a bit
heavier).... toked on that stupid thing for a few days...but
now just nothing... horrible... emptiness

I realised you probably thought I was talking about weed. I
think my wife would pass your test. She has zero problems
with weed smoking; but gets worried when I overdo it.

i think i dont even remember the last time that weed or hash
reduced me to a zombie. you should let your wife see the
difference and tell

i can get really upset smoking shit weed more than when i
smoke none, and thats a shame
