if you get an eventide h9 make sure to get the max version
because it has all the presets. the core version has fewer
modulation presets etc. i almost didn't notice the
difference.glad i didnt buy the core (shit one). i probably
wont get an h9 max either because it has bluetooth for
control by ipad. id rather get the separate modules with all
the knobs.

Just seen. Looks nice and apparently sounds identical with
improvements. Out of my price range for sure though.

I wonder if anyone will give me £25k to get an analogue
solutions colossus?

Happy for you mate, they are really good. I love the
Resonator on them. Keep wondering if it's possible to mod
them so that you can route audio in through it.

In general, the synthesis in it is great for IDM type
drums/percussion. Good demo of what is doable with
a decent sequencer going into it.

What is it about that (general, not just Elektron Model:)
trend for non-standard MIDI connectors?! Bloody modernity.

By the way, you mentioned earlier in the thread The
Algorithm was trying to push a MS-70 CDR on you? If you're
interested in my review of those: lot of bang for the buck
if you want a huge number of characterful (not necessarily
'good') FX, it's amazing for the money. There are a couple
of nice, smooth high quality algorithms in it, but most of
them are patently digital and don't sound especially high
quality.

If you're going to put decent eq, filter, reverb and
compressor down the chain from it, you can probably gloss
over it, but if you were looking for an "all in one" FX unit
for live use, it's a bit crude. Think a bit better than 1st
generation Kaoss Pad FX quality.

I bought one, because despite these limitations, it's a
pretty good (and very cheap) way of approximating long
chains of FX pedals, for music where it doesn't matter that
is a bit noisy/aliased. As a colouring/distortion in that
respect, it's pretty good. I have managed to get an Analog
Four put through one to sound just like a Monomachine, for
example.

yeah, i want a cycles now, promised to buy my dad's
girlfriend an ipad for her 60th otherwise i would have
ordered it already.gotta wait a month now for next pay day
lol. it's 6 voices and you can do step per voice.that's
better than what the digitone can do. shame about the 4 bar
sequences. they limit the sequencing on purpose. if i like
it i might buy two and sync them via midi.

re:MS-70 CDR will have to check it out one day
