Ja but only some simple modules to build so far. I'm very
happy with what I have so it's not urgent. I'll keep an eye
on thonk and Etsy for interesting modules and have a couple
of books to copy circuits from.

The pisound is really cool, I think I mentioned above that
I'm gonna build a teensy midi to CV converter.

to waste space on cv/audio attenuators and mixers

slob is cool, especially the diode chaos. but its too fast.
i got myself a sloth chaos module with 12-15 min per cycle

Mate that sloth chaos sounds great, were you able to get it
in the EU or did you order from the US?

Those little passive attenuators are a great idea. Will make
a few for sure.

I don't wanna play live really. I can never focus on
anything long enough to put a live set together. Gonna make
a stand for the case and mount keyboard and sequencer in the
lid.

I bloody love thonk. I'm trying to find out if they have a
little shop front I can visit to hear some modules as I have
a free day in Brighton next month but it seems like they
operate out of a block of flats or something.

You can get PCB and Panels of the NLC stuff from Thonk then
populate with Mouser components. There's nothing
particularly hard to source and they're a relatively easy
built if you can SMD.

I have both bought Triple Sloths PCBs and Panels from Thonk
and direct from Andrew. I've got three triple sloths side by
side in my big case. Simon at Cymru Beats still has one I
built him on loan in one of his racks.

Which module should I make next week?
1. Zlob MINIMIX
2. Zlob VNICURSAL
3. Synthrotek Verb
4. Division 6 Dual Mini Sequencer

Vote now, Zilty denizens.

On an unrelated note, VLARI is in London, as of this evening
and dan_belch is off to meet him at some point over the
weekend.

Is that a sort of mini Sloth type thing? I thought initially
it was a noise (for use in audio) source, but it looks like
a strange attractor CV source on the scope.

No random gate, nor reset on Triple Sloths, unless there's
some new version I'm unaware of; it's modulation only. Think
of it as a chaotic LFO.
The CV-ins for the 'fastest' two sloths are described as
being 'mixed' with the outputs, but they are sort of kinked
by it as if they were a subtle waveshaper. I've never
managed to get it to output anything that was detected as a
gate or trig by another module.

In terms of patching it up so it does, I sometimes patch
outputs to CV in on an Addac Intuitive Quantiser. You can
then pull gates from that, as it tracks across the keyboard
as v/Oct. If you want more gates, use a faster sloth and all
the keys on the Addac on. If you want fewer gates, use
slower sloths and only turn a couple of keys on the Addac
on.

If you like chaos modules, I also recommend the Turing
Machine and the Quanta output on the SSF Quantum Rainbow 2
is another nice one.

Ah, sorry, when you said X, Y, Z, I assumed you meant
Sloths. :)

The Quantum Rainbow is nice for modulation through a slew
limiter with some colour. The more harmonically rich colours
are great for use in percussion with snappy VCAs.

My main rack is also nearly full, bar 4 modules I already
have planned out for once I have the disposable income
again.

Indeksical: Sadly not going to get to the Division 6 this
week. I will do it next time the soldering station is set up
though and bump this to report back. [Off to check if Fav+
still works]
