the bus do have some stories
i intended to orange one of my classmates, not the driver. immediately i was like "ohhh shiii" or however i'd have thought that before swear words were a normal part of my inner monologue. he was a nice old man, really, and he didn't last.
he was replaced by a series of tough cookie sorta women. the sort of thorny attitude you get from a waitress at a diner who's simply had too much of this shit, with the occasional lesbian thug for flavor. they were much more suited to the position
the one i was sad i never witnessed was actually given an official nickname by the children. after one particularly memorable incident of searing settle-the-fuck-down rage, there was a voice from the back of the bus.
"...and they called her... BIFF."
from then on, she was biff. eventually she got fired for stopping the bus, and telling everyone to get off and kick those kids asses, they fucking deserve it

".. what, never fancy a wank at a game?"

never had the chance unfortunately, i came to acid a lot later in life, only ever flew solo with the stuff. having another person there may have saved me a few difficult trips, i think. re: melting into one being though, i had the same girl sat on my lap whilst tripping shroomstyle with friends from high school... we had a full conversation without saying a word and both felt like we were melting into each other. really happy memories, these

have you ever heard of the "rubber hand illusion" ?
LAZY_TITLE
In the rubber hand illusion (RHI),[50] human participants view a dummy hand being stroked with a paintbrush, while they feel a series of identical brushstrokes applied to their own hand, which is hidden from view. If this visual and tactile information is applied synchronously, and if the visual appearance and position of the dummy hand is similar to one's own hand, then people may feel that the touches on their own hand are coming from the dummy hand, and even that the dummy hand is, in some way, their own hand.[50] This is an early form of body transfer illusion. The RHI is an illusion of vision, touch, and posture (proprioception), but a similar illusion can also be induced with touch and proprioception.[51] It has also been found that the illusion may not require tactile stimulation at all, but can be completely induced using mere vision of the rubber hand being in a congruent posture with the hidden real hand.[52] The very first report of this kind of illusion may have been as early as 1937 (Tastevin, 1937).[53]
what they don't say in the wiki, which i heard while taking psych courses, is this: if the researcher is cruel enough to hit the rubber hand with a hammer, the test subject will actually feel pain in response.
additional component: i'd spent ages building a modular synth, and i was tripping. i lost perspective on my hand; it felt like i was just changing the noises with sheer force of thot -- albeit with a noticeable lag as my fingers computed the output
snuggling on acid, it's like the rubber hand illusion, except you feel someone else's body as part of your own. very pleasant

huh no i hadn't come across that. interestink! our senses are so malleable. i remember being sat on the settee just as i was coming up on acid, and i was chatting with my "friendly" internal voices (pre-existing, i'd been off meds for a few months)... i was convinced they were an alien intelligence made mostly of dark matter so they couldn't normally be perceived, and they explained to me that we have 64 different senses, lsd unlocking these one by one. and there's like 330 (i think) elements, hydrogen being the most abundant in our dimension while it was almost impossible to create for them

my experiences were quite different. it's a long story
after some things like hitting the bus driver in the hed with an orange (lord, you better believe my parents found out) and being a moving blur in kindergarten, my pediatrician decided that putting me on adderall was clearly the right move. no, wait, let's try ritalin. no, nope. they switch doctors and he pulls me off the stims and puts me on some withdrawal drug. i got my dad to hand over the records when i was older; i actually need to go look again, because i'm not sure if i had a seizure as i was being pulled off the stims or being put on some scary old-skool tricyclic anti-depressant whose wikipedia page had words like "genotoxic."
my doctor in that post-pediatrician phase was this guy. as a psych patient, i'm sure you know risperdal. i was on a combo of serzone and risperdal for years. he was more or less being paid a million or two by bristol-meyers squibb to support off-label use of risperdal for ad&d and bipolar disorder. risperdal can work for schizophrenia, sometimes, but the off-label angle was a pure, bullshit cash-grab. sort of like an older, more innocent version of purdue pharma.
this brilliant read on the history of risperdal has an entire chapter dedicated to my former doc
in college, finally on my own somewhat, i stopped taking the serzone first. then, the risperdal. the world felt a lot more colorful
part of why i stopped them is i wanted to try psychedelics, and it was painfully clear from my research that you can't trip on risperdal at all. balls

i got limp dick and a big pot belly from risperidone, but it did quell the voices. it was strange, they explained in some detail their own weakening power / absence - how they were "playing along" so that i would be released and they could keep up with the gang stalking etc.
i was pretty stable on risperidone but i was drinking so heavily after a while (now staying in a homeless hostel) that it overwhelmed the meds and i got heavily into benzos and synthetic cannabinoids. long story short i got my own flat, got into legal speed (3f-pm and eph) before acid pretty much cured my alcoholism and several other personality defects. shit saved my life in some ways but also sent me pretty wacky, it was kind of a double edged sword. i got sectioned whilst i was actually tripping, handcuffed etc. not fun
now on flupentixol injection biweekly plus a substantial amount of olanzapine. almost no voices. frighteningly sober. bish bash bosh

it was a cash grab, like i said. they needed a new blockbuster drug for their bottom line, and they picked risperdal. then they started paying off the guy writing my scrips to produce data to support off-label use. my mum thought the world of him. they would talk with me there, saying i hated this, as if i wasn't in the room. regularly had to get blood tests and EKGs half to make sure the meds weren't nuking my organs, and half, i'm sure, for his fucking data points.
i will say this -- referencing the other thred -- when i had my wreck, first thing i did was call mum. first thing she did was say, "are you ok?" as i was sitting sideways in the fast lane with air bag dust settling
we had furious arguments over it. quite heartbreaking really, she trusted the asshole. she forced me into it out of genuine concern
i remember my final meeting with him. i had thought ahead and i had a prepared analogy: "you're trying to water a garden with a firehose." his immediate response was, "if my car is broken, i take it to a mechanic." my parents had fed me this line many times, and immediately i realized where it had come from. i was, to say the least, angry. i left, and i haven't seen him since.
it's worth noting it just helps to tell my story. i have no interests in lawsuits, vengance, whatever. but let it me known that i did decide, "oh, heck, i'm more or less a giant science experiment already" and carried on with it.
