The whole film is so awesome i might just go and leave it on

installation type o thing !

Firstly, I don't think it's necessary to be hard on TFA.
Seriously. Enough people are doing it on the internet,
because it's cool to do so, it's shows you have opinions and
aren't a sheep. But really it starts to become really nit
picky, and soulless. Movie are primarily there to be enjoyed
and have fun. Once one puts the critique hat on, and starts
thinking too highly of herself/himself, criticising a lot of
people's hard work, I think the problem start to be
psychological. TFA was fun, and anyone who was expecting a
masterpiece should watch other movies.

Secondly, his review is more than that; it's a deep look
into the SW universe, and online stupidity. It's brilliantly
well put together, and must have taken ages.

I was really happy with, because he avoided sounding like a
bitter egomaniac who clearly should be writing or making
films instead of being an internet critique. He even pokes
fun at himself. It's great, I recommend it.

People now think their taste is some sort of authority.

There are amazing moments in the new film ....effects were
really good. lots of hard work. and original cast ...sooo
cool. but it was far too much like new hope.

needed an original story!!

Well I had a great ride, and have no time to slag it off.
The similarities were a conscious and arstitic decision, it
was down to laziness. Anyone who thinks it was lazy possibly
needs the help of a medical professional. It's clear all
involved out their all.

Anyway! Not to your taste maybe, but it suited me down to a
tee. It's not my fave SW film, but I really wish people
would relax a bit.

Because freqy, we can find faults in every movie if we want
to. I can understand voicing opinion after seeing a shit
film, but it's not the right frame of mind to be in for
every movie we go and see I think.

Just because it's Star Wars and lots of talented people were
involved, doesn't mean they're not human.

Are people hard on you freqy? Do you feel constantly
analysed, and judged?

dont worry dustyits been so long since i saw the review or
the film anyway.

I liked the force awakens better the third time. when i
bought it, because i knew when to turn away. all the rest
of the film is great. fun film and has Han in it of course
except he died so that sucked big time.

I bought a TFA Han Solo figurine the other day. It was on
sale, and I thought it would be a cool one to have boxed up
in 20 years, seeing as he won't be back.

I'd have a hell of an original SW toy collection today had
my then stepfather not stolen, and sold them in the late
eighties. He should have waited. The only toys I ever wanted
apart from cuddly ones were SW.

Gosh I rem He Man figurines I had. I guess the last toys I
had were MASK.

Oh, I did own a Boglin after that!

.....

Okay, thoughts on TFA.. 8/10.

JJ nailed it direction-wise.. but the story is a bit slapped
together. You can tell they took 6 pieces of concept art
from an early script, then glued them together with duct
tape.

Second act is a mess. Orange lady and snoke are too
cartoony.. but I like Finn, Rey, BB-8 and how epic/important
they made Luke. It's a decent start to the trilogy.

but yeah.. making snoke a cgi character was such a fuckin
stupid idea. The main bad guy is a cgi cartoon character,
overacted to hell by Andy Serkis.. all this hype about
practical effects then they go and do that.

anyway

Blade Runner 2 looks decent but the weakness of the film
could be the acting.. leto stinks

yes Jared Leto is a bit of a twat, hopefully he wont ruin
the film

I really should watch TFA again I did enjoy it in the cinema
even though I don't regard it as a classic, yes the little
orange lady was a bad design, it was too cgi, why couldn't
they just get a puppet like yoda I have no idea, there were
other ones in the film

yes the force awakens is fun packed, I need to watch it
again, I think Abraham did a surprisingly decent job of
making it feel starwarsy and I don't think ive really liked
anything he done before. My main complaint over all would
probably be the CGI aliens

yes ubik, or three stigmata of palmer eldritch would be
brilliant, ive read most of his books and all 5 volumes of
short story collections, he was deffo a creative genius the
amount of brilliant ideas he had was mind boggling

Yeah, I remember feeling sorry for him when he made his
speech in Metz, because his wife or partner was hyper
embarrassed, and wasn't at all supportive. I can't find the
version I saw ages ago, a documentary I guess, but
here is a link to part of the speech.

yes whats unusual is that he admits the possibility he might
be mad, which isn't usual with such a complex delusion, my
own theory is that he had a stroke or early onset dementia
of some kind and really was experiencing something he
perceived as real, or perhaps he was schizophrenia. As the
old adage goes creativity and madness are often never far
apart

It's R-rated, 40 mins longer than the studio would like and
Francher wrote the story. Villenevenen is really good at
slower paced stuff.. Deakins is the best at way he does
etc.. I think this could end up being immense. Liking Leto
and Bautista in the clips too

yes I really like bautista he looked like a great character
with the tiny peevish glasses and 5 oclock shadow, yes roger
deakins is brilliant, the run time is what I want from this
type of film, so I'm caustiously optimistic I will at least
enjoy it
