just noticed they change it in series 10 maybe 8,9?
lucasfilm must have wanted a fee. literally, i cannot see
why they would have took it out otherwise.

That is quite incredible considering our 'by chance' recent
interest and that the game is like 30 or so years old. : )

great find Hypie.

got really good at catapult, there are little lines a few
pixels wide that mark where to fire the catapult

it's too hard to battle unless the catapult has done a good
job knocking down the castle wall

offline freqy on 2016-01-25 00:30 [#02491702]
Points: 18724 Status: Regular | Show recordbag

yeah the only way to win at the game with any chance is to
know when to click the mouse on those little lines fings

boulders only i find.

unless there are hundreds in the castle, then use disease
after the second boulder. then retreat if you like .

,if you have knights get the wall all the way down and
charge. knights are needed to win too.

I forget the name of the home castles but the castle by
bristol is the easiest, the one by Sherwood the hardest,
perhaps, as you are surrounded ?

get a knight in army as soon as pos. : )

offline umbroman3 from United Kingdom on 2016-01-25 16:22 [#02491710]
Points: 6123 Status: Lurker

1 knight per 10 soldiers
best to avoid wales as it's nearly worthless
attack territories with high value
wait for enemy army to be far from home before attacking,
then they can't return to defend their castle
you can get safe passage through saxon territory sometimes
always keep at least 1 troop in your castle

to win from the north, fight your way south down to
gloucester(possible to take safe passage through the saxon
castle), then go on to attack cornwall, by the time you get
there cornwall should have plenty of territory which will
then become yours

when in the north it all depends on getting the highest
value territories possible so check the value of each
territory and always plot a route through the valuable spots
on the map.

I believe almost all my wins have been by aiming to defeat
cornwall.

defender of the elite

they should update the game with the ability to enforce GM
crops, brain washing music and fluoridated water, drugs with
side effects , hidden chemicals in foods....like a real
modern life defender of the crown game

yeah they must have got the look from bitmap brothers,

I love the sky at night, it became harder and harder to
understand what he was saying in his declining health but he
never lost his sense of wonder for the universe, also he
opposed fox hunting so he cant have been that bad

its better on the second viewing too i feel. hows bout you
hypie? did you like it more better the second time?

I did , but i really think it needs a new edit though. so
many face palm moments for me. but the bits in between are
fantastic..I was really entertained for a fair amount , its
just those face palm moments.. it could have been so much
better.

offline Hyperflake from Wirral (United Kingdom) on 2016-01-26 08:44 [#02491725]
Points: 31015 Status: Regular

yes i did enjoy it more this time round, i did notice how
shit bb8 sounded cos of our discussion, he just sounded like
the most simple patch you can make on a synth. it didnt over
bother me but it stood out in the sound mix as well, too
prominent. actually thinking about it there was a distinct
lack of cool sound effects in the entire movie.

offline Hyperflake from Wirral (United Kingdom) on 2016-01-26 08:44 [#02491726]
Points: 31015 Status: Regular

what were your face palm moments ?

offline freqy on 2016-01-26 16:22 [#02491731]
Points: 18724 Status: Regular | Show recordbag

bb8 should be redone by Mr Burtt. but its too late.

i cant remember them all but the opening shot was poor,
c3p0s entrance made him look more annoying than jar jar
which is certainly not right. even harrison is holding
back allot of pain.. but he just about stayed to talk to
leia. He is not programmed to be annoying, he was only like
that in empire because the falcon cockpit is so small
getting in the way and in their face. But this was on a huge
landing platform and he appeared from nowhere, it completely
messed up the flow of the movie and insulted a main
character.

lots of others, there are things that cant be changed but i
bet a fan edit in the future will make it better.

offline Hyperflake from Wirral (United Kingdom) on 2016-01-26 16:37 [#02491732]

yeah the c3po bit seemed a bit superfluous, unnecessary,
like here i am with my red arm,

offline Hyperflake from Wirral (United Kingdom) on 2016-01-26 16:44 [#02491733]
Points: 31015 Status: Regular

i think my biggest problem was the cgi characters, like Maz
Katana, everything round her was physical, and the voice
seemed wrong, actress was miscast i think, character design
was very pedestrian and she just stuck out like a sore thumb
cos she was purely cgi, also tie fighter pilots arent very
good agains complete novices

offline freqy on 2016-01-26 21:45 [#02491734]
Points: 18724 Status: Regular | Show recordbag

she was meant to be the yoda character and yeah a bit too
cgi and too yoda like.

your right i forgot about the red arm aspect. it was like
the worst thing i could imagine. I love 3po . he is very
proper, and he would not do that on a landing platform. How
the hell did they decide to leave that in?

There are allot of reviews that go into all the mistakes.

I love the fact the lead charecter was a girl . I did not
really care at all until i saw reviews. as it explained many
of the daft things that happened.

The fact she could fix the falcon and knew more than Han and
used a lightsabre without lukes training to pretty much
defeat a sith thing.that was all a bit weak really.

it was weird too when they got out the falcon she had just
explained the internal workings to Han, as Han seemed to
forget allot in his ship in old age ...outside he then
patronises this genius mechanic fighting machine telekinesis
wizard that she probably needs to learn how to point and
shoot a blaster, as it is quite complected. face palm.

i liked 75 percent of it. its just it needed more people
around that table to point these things out.

plinkett shall rise again

good summation i agree with what you said, i enjoyed about
80% of it so overall i wasnt disappointed, i liked Rey quite
a bit she wasnt irritating, I cant wait to see Luke in the
next one, at the end i realise how much i missed him, he has
such an expressive face

offline umbroman3 from United Kingdom on 2016-01-26 21:59 [#02491736]
Points: 6123 Status: Lurker

at the end i was saying to myself, please don't let luke say
anything, then they didnt, which made the scene cooler,
because the actor is obviously old and a bit too geeky and
weak irl

if he'd opened his mouth he would have said something shit

his lightsabre

didnt really see a feminist agenda in the film so much as
all Rey's skills were script mechanism, 'deux ex machina'
to get the characters out of situations the writers had put
them in, written themselves into a corner, so the easiest
solution/lazy writing is to make her an all powerful
character
