XLT refugee crisis response

Xltronic has been widely praised for its announcement that
it would take in 10,000 refugees. Whilst cynics claim this
is merely a bid to replace its own userbase that has itself
fled, the Guardian hailed Hungarian tunemx as a shining
example of humanity, a quality currently sadly lacking in
his racist backwater.

off the wire -- the XLT Executive Team is generously
offering to shelter refugees in the XLT Extended Site Space.
The Space Site is currently at 260 pixels, but the XLT
Executive Team has eauthorized a 40-pixel extension of the
site, should times be grave enough to warrant it.

I don't want to be mean but come on, some whimscial
watercolour comic about why, once again, it's every thing
apart from Islam that causes bloodshed? Climate change,
neolibralism, The West... how about you don't cut your
neighbour's head off and work out an alternative?

Seems like its a perfect storm of Wahhabism, drought,
dictators, failed foreign policies, ethnic tensions,
globalism, the reheating of the cold war, Syria being
surrounded by failed states, and several other variables ive
missed out. The ISIS scum have just filled the power vacuum
all this shit creates, they are just opportunistic
barbarians with a deep racial hatred for the west, religion
just provides them with the pretext to carry on doing what
they are doing.

on a very deep and pure level, i simply do not give a shit.
it's like a bunch of people getting mad that a guy down the
street drinks miller lite, and how dare he, that beer is
crappy and he is perpetuating the existence of crappy beer.
and i'm all -- dude, shut up. i didn't make miller lite, and
i can't unmake it. leave the man be in his bubble of
medicracy. i hope you all find this analogy as beautiful as
i do

there's this notion that i should feel empathy for some
group of people i've never met just because CNN tells me to.
some bullshit i didn't cause and can't fix and wouldn't even
know of if not for satellite video links... happening to
people who would probably stab me simply for being american.
i didn't vote for bush, i never supported the iraq war, and

it's more about reaching a point of emotional
overload/exhaustion after browsing the news for more than a
few minutes, and how this does absolutely nothing to help
anyone. people whine about how a blonde white girl gets
america crying but a black kid doesn't... just zoom out a
little and realize that thoughtless, blind emotional
reaction is abusrd in either case. i feel that's a bad thing
in general, but that's not what BOTHERS me. what bothers me
is the pressure to follow along with it all! if i were at
some global control panel and i could flip a switch and stop
some bullshit, any bullshit, rest assured that i would.
that's not the case, though -- i am as powerless to do
anything about blonde chicks in alabama as i am refugees in
europe. the only sensible thing to do is let go of it and
focus on the things i can change. a friend of mine is
paranoid schizophrenic and he's in the process of getting
evicted; i'd rather care about him thanks

Fleetmouse.
who is ben swann? u agree with these youtube comments
mouse?

>
It all makes perfect sense when you factor in a debt based
economy that cannot work unless money is spent. Creating
your own problems and throwing more money at it keeps the
system functioning longer. War is the most wastefully,
expensive thing there is. A thirty year war makes perfect
sense in this regard. So it's really not blowback, it's
planned blowback.

>
It is the Zionists that have done this. Ask yourself why
Isis threatens the west but not Israel and attacks everyone
but Israel. How many congressman have duel citizenship with
Israel? Think about it.

..........................................

planned blowback
zionists
errrr climate change

lets look at this book. its a BOOK guys

Book review

In documenting the formative history of ISIS, the authors
will surprise many lay observers who think ISIS is supported
by Sunni Gulf States, by leading the trail to “the agendas
of regimes in Iran and Syria”. Gulf contributions
never made up more than five percent of ISIS’ budget;
Tehran and Damascus were the real difference-makers.
...

The theocracy in Iran sheltered Zarqawi when he fled
Afghanistan after NATO overthrew the Taliban in 2001,
allowing him to set up a network stretching across Iraq into
Syria and Lebanon; as well as a five-hundred square-mile
base in Iraqi Kurdistan with three-hundred Salafi jihadists,
well before the American-led invasion of Iraq. Iran
is said by some accounts to have trained Zarqawi at an
Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corp (IRGC) camp in Mehran. What
Iran certainly did was help ISIS during the American regency
in Iraq, both directly with finance and arms and indirectly
by playing into ISIS’ plans for a sectarian mayhem as a
means to drive the Americans out.

You post stuff like this as if you have no awareness of
Zarqawi's roots as a Mujahideen sympathizer - or why
there was a theocracy in Iran in the first place.

you're really missing the point. you have created an arena
of paranoia which more than suggests there is nothing in
your life other than an absence of a god or anything
suitably positive. it stems from the continuine failure of
basic education that nothing can be proved. i hope
eventually and how difficult it may/will seem that life is
truely meaningless. i am truely empathic to your situaltion
but in the end, the true reason you believe in what you do
is to fill a gap in your own godless world.

good story here, (Guardian sorry lol) but a lot of
the ISIS fighters say they are fighting because of the shift
in Sunni/Shia power as a result of the Iraq invasion

but blaming it all on Assad / ISIS / Western intervention /
Western non-intervention / Saudis / Iran is surely
self-evidently gobshite, isn't it obvious it's a
multifaceted clusterfuck with no easy solution?

FWIW my Palestinian/Jordanian relatives are all reluctantly
pro-Assad since despite being a twat he offers the only
realistic chance of stability

Like any geopolitical situation there are a lot of factors -
however I don't see how anyone familiar with the past 75-100
years of history can deny that American, NATO and Russian
interventions have been one of the most persistent
destabilizing forces in the Middle East, allowing and in
many cases encouraging the growth of militant extremism.
(*)

No one's saying that's the only factor, and no one's saying
climate is the only factor - though it was a strong factor
or perhaps better to say a lit fuse in the Egyptian uprising
and Syria and so on - but to reduce it all to "islams are
bad, mm hmm" is comforting mental laziness, warm porridge
for toothless old minds.

(* mentals will tell you the end result of anti-western
terrorism was deliberate, because they mistake
shortsightedness and carelessness for malice and like to see
intent behind everything)

I do genuinely think "all Islams are bad, mm mmm" but it's
not a particularly comforting porridge, because despite them
keep claiming to be "a minority" there's billions of them.
There are of course myriad factors behind what's happening
now, but if we take the case of climate change in Syria,
what happened? Rural people moved to the city. What
distinguishes rural people from city dwellers? They're
largely conservative inbreds. What preceeds Anti-
Westernism? Anti-Education, anti-progress, anti-womens
rights, incest and superstition. If you're Pol Pot you might
look upon this Year Zero impulse with glee.

You're wrong here on multiple levels.

First off, the genesis of the protests in Syria and Assad's
brutal response had precisely nothing to do with religious
tensions. It had more to do with this. (that
story's from 2009 btw)

Secondly, you seem to be saying that all Muslims are equal,
but some are more equal than others. What's up with that?

Thirdly, if you look at the ringleaders of Jihadist
organizations - Bin Laden, Zarqawi et al - as well as the
actors in the 9/11 terrorist attacks - you'll find they're
primarily from an educated and middle or upper class milieu,
not from an ignorant rural population.

Finally, I'd like to ask where you're getting your
demographic information on Syrian farmers. [citation needed]
