I know that some of you already got your hands on Gantz
Graf, but for the rest: here's samples and details from autechre.nu.

"The upcoming DVD will contain video material to one of the
tracks."

Sounds cool.....

Ho will do the video material ?
I hope its someone talented like Cunningham or the man
himself.

schmick,
Gantz Graf sounds like being trapped in a huge shipping
tanker (in the dark) out in big seas.
Creakingly good stuff,
and Alexander Rutterford sounds like he's a good chioce for
the videos,
I can't wait to see the final product!

done by Alex Rutherford.

The samples are AWSOME!!! This is autechre further exploring
unexplored EP7-ground, so it sounds to me anyway. It has
this (ep7) "punk" feel to it, shuffleshuffleklonk!

It's a bit disapointing... I'm listening to it constantly
and paying close attention to it, but I just can't seem to
get into it... lack of melody. Except for that annoying one
on Dial... Cap IV isn't some epic masterpiece like some
say... and Gantz Graf is just too rough. It makes Confield
seem accessible.

extremely cool stuff..I like the direction autechre has been
taking since about EP7..they constantly manage to surprise
and bewilder..push the envelope..break the conventions and
rules..I like that in a band...

actually Dial seems inspired by Cristian Vogel and Neil
Landstrumm etc...the new school of damaged techno...anybody
else notice that?

the fact that, after each of their release, half of the fans
love it and the other half hate shows that they're up to
something. it's an indication of true innovation, imo.

it shows that they're constantly changing... and it
separates the so so fans from the diehard fans, because the
diehard fans will give the new direction a good working and
will try to get into it...

i dont think their music separates fans at all. from what i
gather they don't make their music to please their audience
or else theyd release more than just few selections. in
order to appreciate their music to start off with you would
have to be the type of person that can enjoy completely new
and strange things.

they gave us a good enough warning with "netlon sentinel"

keep in mind that these songs could've been done years ago

the fans' reactions to their release are frequently
"extreme". just look at the recent reactions for the grantz
graf ep.

not really... I mean Incunabula, and Amber, and even Tri
Repetae, are pretty easy albums to get into... lots of
people who like Incunabula, Amber and Tri Repetae stop it
there, and don't like the new stuff... so I think as they've
gone on through their career they have lost fans, but the
diehard ones have stuck by them... I respect them for doing
there own thing...

stuff...
