I was in Amsterdam, and we took this mushroom bag to share for two, not hallucinogen on purpose. We shared it on a bench and waited a few, nothing. So we decided to smoke a tree upon them, but in half an hour the mushroooms start to make themselves feel and i was almost collapsing if it wasn't for a red bull. the effect as i remember it feels similar to the salvia divinorum one, but lasting several hours. when the high of the smoke went away i get the best sensation from them, literally couldn't stop laughing for everything. that's all, Monoid. |

Great but heavy psychological, start with small amounts and only take more when you feel ok, use them in a trusted environment with nice/good people, people you trust. Have fun! |

acid made me think about patterns in history, mushrooms made me think about patterns in my life. sky vs earth i suppose. do your research: a few hours on erowid had me understanding what i was in for pretty accurately. not advisable if your dog died last week or something; the emotion of it would just beat you over the head for most of the trip, which is no fun at all. it's not something you do to forget your life. aside from that, what crazone- said. |

You can also buy magic truffles online quite easily, they contain psilocybin which is the same hallucinogen you get in mushrooms, it's better you do it alone turn the lights off and have a long music mix , some ready rolled joints and perhaps some diazepam in case you want to come down . |

I read in a book that.. The thing with mushrooms is that if you eat carbohydrates a few hours before your dose it can significantly diminish the potency of the effects. So the danger is not necessarily the first dose when you take only a small amount to understand the effects, but its the dosages that follow which can be 'hazardous' : A good rule is to have the exact same early breakfast or no breakfast just good quality water waiting 6 hours or so after you wake...then take a dose that is by >weight |

wtf? i typed more than that ... must have been a symbol i used. anyway....good quality safe environment, fun entertainment, things to do, take the phone off the hook, have carbohydrates on standby and always drink good quality water, no red bull shi*e or alcohol, or even cannabis on the up....maybe smoke it after the peak on the chill out after, but not on the up. it can pull you a part in two directions. the book was a fascinating read. cant remember the title.... |

Depending on where you live, part of the experience is picking them. You're connected with what you're taking. Much like growing your own weed. If you want stronger stuff than the smaller mushrooms one can pick locally, Hawaiian and Mexican are great. |

I'm not sure it should matter that shrooms are more _natural_ than acid. Really that's a naive assumption. For me I dont like the body buzz of shrooms, and good acid can feel cleaner than shrooms going through your digestive tract. A lot of people fear acid for a whole pile of reasons and skepticisms. I'd fear weed more before any hallucinogens. I've done acid about 5 times since my teenage years and have loved every experience. It's a great substance and gets better as you mature and and presumably as you develop more knowledge about yourself and the workings of the universe |

You don't go and pick your LSD in fields. The fun part with mushrooms is you can go and pick them. Of course them being natural doesn't mean they're safer or better than a Hoffman. i got a similar experience to mohamed. mine where the mexican ones, the softest according to amsterdam shop. no allucinations. not strong physical high like joints or alcohol. more a mental thing feeling normal. it was just the feeling i was really seeing things for the first time. the lights were beautiful. the trees (we were in the middle of a belgian forest), my friends face... everything was new and beautiful and it made me laugh. and finally (when the high was going down and i smoked some weed) a feeling of deep understanding of things and life, that everything happened inside my head and i could control everything i see or feel (i was, for example, long time with my eyes opened, knowing i was hurting myself, but mentally controling the pain). That part was scary at the end, and i had a bad time wanting to stop triping until i fell asleep. The girl on the shroom shop told us you just had to eat sugar for the high to go down. But the sugar was at the italian's tent we were travelling with. They were sleeping and had they tent locked. nice. |

What I mean is that before taking mushrooms or LSD, I was a bit worried. You hear all these fucked up stories, some of which are urban myths. When I finally dabbled, I realised I was totally in control. I thought you became the drug's bitch but to my delight I found out it was my bitch. So if you focus on being scared, and you feel pressure then you won't enjoy yourself. Watching Schindler's List and being able to turn the characters into cartoons at my command was my first experience. |

Sounds like a nice experience, I've had similar trips with my friends with light visuals and advanced thinking patterns about personal things in my life. I've been thinking about doing a large dose by myself in the dark , but I don't know if I still have the balls . It's always good to be fully prepared as it's a similar process when you fly abroad, you need a check list of objects you might need, as I said before one of the most important being a way of coming down if you should need to. |
