Fuckin' ace, I'm curious does anybody give credence to this
press shite that Fig. 03 was a re-release? It sounds
untenably well produced for the supposedly original release
date

For what i remember it sounded like unfinished tunes made
with raw massive synths with no much production, so i guess
it could perfectly be old tunes, as it totally sounds like
old cybotron bases and the alike... maybe they have been
remixed/remastered if you are refering to the nice sound...

it's bullshit -- the claim that it's old
still good tunes tho

all

they've ripped off and get a bumishment.

A sound somewhere in between AFX, Drexciya, and
dopplereffekt. Can't go wrong with that, can't wait for this
one

juno clips are the same as youtube, the sound aestetics are
similar as fig03 yet this release sounds simpler and less
gloomy to my troubled ears

juno clicky

I'll probably order it

i see both sides, really. it's like skateboarding: pretty
hard for someone to invent a new trick at this point; the
innovation has already been done. but it's still fun to
watch/do, so i'm cool with more drexciya clonage as long as
it doesn't get pretentious (claiming to be from the 80s
would classify as pretentious if it weren't so obviously a
joke)

I expected it to be more along the lines of "D's Groove"
tbh, i love that track. The rest is ok.

I like it when they err into Other People Place territory
more than Drexciya or Analord-lite, still pretty good
though.

the shorter one, or does C mean CD?

is this on any of the albums?

thx.

else.

was it?

monolith's name is david, and i see no david on the vinyl
sleeve. just victor and ellen. maybe all three are aliases,
but why bother?

It's not important, though I felt a bit underwhelmed when I
found out it was him. All this "Acolytes of Analord and
Tuss" shit is well played out.

maybe it explains why "welcome" was such a letdown --
stretching his tracks out to support fifteen aliases diluted
the sauce.

nonetheless, i really like some of the tracks on that
youtube. not all of them, but enough that i feel like
further sniffing the photodementia vinyl to see if it would
be good to eat

So was noise involved with the first LP? Why did that sound
so different to this one? It was so obvious that monolith
was behind it but the first one not so much.

just do a BOC social media whammy or post a press blurb
already. i'm interested, but i'm not going to go on an
EpicMegaquest just to understand which of the releases it is
that i want to buy. if any.

offline EpicMegatrax from Greatest Hits on 2013-05-01 02:13 [#02455437]

the youtube track names are all autistic angular glyphs and
they don't provide a key/table to indicate which glyphs are
on which records. i'm not terribly inclined to gamble for
the (vinyl) costs involved.
