I was wondering if anyone could think of any bands/musical
duos where the two main people in it are married (or in a
civil partnership), that are actually any good.

For a long time, I used to think Savath and Savalas were the
only ones. I've noticed recently that I've stumbled across a
few others and most notably, discovered that some groups I
already liked were married (but they just kept their
separate names). Most notably, Adult and mind-blowingly for
me, Tricky Disco. Tricky Disco was one of my favourite early
IDM tracks and I listened to it to death as a kid. It only
occurred to me quite recently that I knew nothing about what
I presumed would be a solo pasty male, making it.

FUNERALS just about scrape in, quality-wise.

Can people name any others?

Peaking Lights - They even had their first kid right before
they did their last album, Lucifer, a wonderfully chilled
and rather nocturnal dub-album that received a lot of
acclaim last year.

I can't stand Yoko. Coil weren't technically married (or in
a civil partnership.

Arcade Fire, however, are yet another example of a band I
was reasonably familiar with and didn't know they were
married (although I knew they were in a relationship).

Darius: Sonic Youth; as per Arcade Fire.

Thanks folks.

Co-Existence: Nice, haven't heard anything by them before,
liking it.

I don't know if GTO were on TOTPs, but I have many fond
memories of watching Tricky Disco on "The Chart Show" on
Saturday mornings.

EBTG have a couple of ace tracks, this one being
my favourite. She has a gorgeous voice for someone who looks
like a depressurised Liza Minnelli
