I'm probably not gonna be very popular saying this but it
has to be The Matrix

yeah, matrix isnt as good as everyone thinks it is. Though
worst film? i think thats a bit harsh.

I try and avoid bad films but the worst film i've seen
recently was MI:2, it sucked big time, despite John Woo
directing.

Pearl Harbour was an EXCRUTIATING thing to watch. Why stick
a love story into the middle of it like that? Gotta sell
tickets, I guess. Fuck Hollywood.

not really, i guess there are alot of other movies way
worse than that one it wasn't that bad, i just said that one
cuz it's the most recent movie i've seen and i know how so
many people drool over that movie on this mb so it was kinda
a combination of those two factors playing in on my choice.
i watched it and it was trippy but hard to be like
yeah....go somwhere do something already when watching it.
but the end was worth the however many hours i spent in
front of the tube for.

1-Independence Day
2-Super Mario Bros
3-Street Fighter the movie
4-The Matrix the action his good but the story is very basic
though.
5-and a lot more....really a lot more.

yeah i didn't much like the matrix - it was lauded as being
some innovative mind-blower - but, like Pulp Fiction, it was
just an amalgamation of previous films/books. i grew up
reading Philip K. Dick, who wrote theories far more
intrigueing and mind-blowing than that

isn't the matrix like fuckin' star wars?!

Whoever said the Matrix ia f*ckin' fool. there are
obviously way more movies that are worse,..... if you think
the matrix is the worst then youve only been watching
like.... 5 movies a year?

offline xlr from Boston (United States) on 2002-04-01 01:14 [#00152762]

Matrix may be overhyped and overrated but it is in no way
one of the worst movies ever.

offline raimons from Stockholm (Sweden) on 2002-04-01 01:20 [#00152774]
Points: 4266 Status: Lurker

no its not one of the worst movies ever nut keeano reeves is
a bad actor and he really destroys much of it!
and can someone tell me why everyone wears sunglasses in
that movie?
is it just really really stoopes or have i missed something?

offline marlowe from Antarctica on 2002-04-01 01:27 [#00152785]
Points: 24578 Status: Lurker | Followup to REFLEX: #00152752

well REFLEX, it depends what criteria a person is basing
their judgement on, really.

If they were going on Worst Screenplay, they may choose,
"Zhiang Zhu"; if they were going on Worst Direction, they
may go for "101 Wogs Won't Whip the Wabbit"

so it really depends on what they are basing their...wait, i
already said that...well anyways, i don't think it's a bad
movie or anything

offline Ubik from United States on 2002-04-01 01:42 [#00152820]
Points: 662 Status: Lurker

Matrix, while hardly the worst, i found it quite annoying,
some good stolen ideas mixed together in an inferior and
conflicting manner, with second rate acting by bored actors
behind an apathetic keeano reeves... there is a scene toward
the end when some robotic things are trying to break in
while some romantic nonsense about the girl bringing Reeves
back from near death, that scene was so lame it make me
cringe as bad as any scene in a movie, and it went on
forever...

what are the motivations of the computer, what is the
fantasy mythic element mixed in?... i will be impressed if
they actually pull that mess together together in the
following movies, but im not expecting much
