offline diamondtron on 2009-01-14 02:19 [#02264456]

what happens now is...
everybody waffles on about it and its potential
then it gets released
invariably it's totally different to what everyone expects
so 2/3's people than start slagging it off or comparing it
to something else
low and behold 5 years later everyone rates it as a classic

oh i forgot to say, one month after release everyone asks
for whats next and saying its ages since he released an
album etc
not just aphex mind u, just this stupid little tiny vicious
fanatical circle that i am taking part in right now as i
type oh jesus A B C ya

yeah technology brings impatience. on the other hand, i'm
glad to listen to the latest alva noto release (but the 320
rip is lacking something, need to get it on CD). If its true
(AFX) i wonder if he's has plans for releasing collabs with
Hecker (they're playing together @ bloc).

great! :D

id like it to be by aphex twin
id like it to be an album,
a real one,
not just a compilation of tracks on a cd...

i'll be more surprised if this isn't true than true. maybe
i'm just optimistic. or naive. still...

i trust him
and the fact that hes wrote twin not twins.

If its true, then it will be good. Whether you like a
certain bit of music or not, you can at least admit whether
or not something is "good".

I'm just hoping Michael Jackson releases his new album soon
though.......

am i right in saying that it has been 8 years since an Aphex
Twin album? (surely Chosen Lords doesn't count for two
reasons; 1 its a compliation, 2 most of it is by AFX,
similar reasons for 26 mixes)

i heard Michael is releasing an album this year too, so
could be a good year for music..

I'll believe it when I see it. March will roll around and
everyone will feel all burnt by the lack of a new Aphex Twin
album.

Aphex Twin in 2009 would be pretty amazing, though.

So would a new Boards of Canada album.

Joyrex, 23rd December:

"Wait until you see what Richard has planned for 2009."

24th December:

" I've heard from a non-Rephlex little bird that there is
something big in store... possibly bigger than Analord (not
in terms of volume, but in terms of what it sets out to do
musically like what Analord did)"

Is he allowed to publish music under the Aphex Twin guise on
Rephlex, hasn't Warp the license?

aliases, why do you hate aliases?
aliases aaaaaaa.a.a.a..ali.i.i.i..iiiiiiii..i..iiaaaaases

drums drums
pause glitch
dr dru drums

those aliases have been explained i think and are not him..
check their respective myspace pages.

so its not a new Aphex Twin album then but AFX? Maybe it
could be some box sets of his older material? Didn't he
mention a couple of times he was going to release some old
stuff?

its not like hes about to invent something next to
experimantal and idm.
hes best days are long frogotten by forces of this place.
therefor i dont hype.

nah old days are not forgotten,
nothing new to say about them though...
also you never know about inventing,
but as long as there are brilliant as ever
tunes like rubank12 coming up
(which has a lot of girl/boy feel to me)
then life is good!

wont go into the "i want him to release
this or that style" discussion any further though.
