I've heard Arovane, they are great. Someone told me to check them out, that they sound like a mix between Boards of Canada and Autechre, i'm not sure I agree, but rdj/boc/ae/sp fans should dig it. "Tides" is a good album. "I.O." is worth checking out too.

First of all, arovane is nothing but quality. Tides is easily one of my most loved albums,
I prefer not to compare artists like Arovane because it's so unique, he has a long career and his own brand of sound.. and that whole he's nothing but "BOC clone" and "Autechre clone" stuff is well, bullshit. I might see some relation, but Arovane surpasses so much of this.
Arovane - Official Site
Arovane @ Discogs.com
btw if you are new to Arovane, i highly recommend "Tides"
-side note: Tides is inspired entirely by the ocean (the recording captures this perfectly), he took a long trip up the French coast to do all his work for this; Christian Kleine provided the guitar work also, and if you are not familiar with mr Kleine check him out too!
bye.

Also, if you like CCO, try the stuff on Morr Music, another amazing label with similar taste. :)

Atol Scrap and Tides are simply too good. Funny how BoC gets all the praise, while there are so many others that are as good if not better.
