Oh yeah, I work in a College as a Technical Officer...looking after several servers, the Network, designing web sites, programming etc... Its an Ok job...get to play with some decent kit and be on the Net all day (we have an amazing connection...wish I could get Soulseek to work via our Proxy tho...then I'd be even more happy...)... |

Looking around my room... ...A couple of NT4 Servers, 4 Win2000 Servers, WinXP PIII Laptop...(trying to convince them to let me upg everything to WinXP as I love it so far..)... ..Big HP-UX Unix Machine...god knows what processor(s) thats got in it...I'm not that fond of UNIX...Big RAID system... Good mix of processors from a old dual Pentium Pro (200Mhz) to a brand spanking new Dell Dual PentIII PowerEdge 2500 (which is all in Techno Black...very nice)... Misc Routers & Hubs etc...some Fibre, some 10/100 Ethernet... This rooms HUMS like a outtake from SAWII...:)...it's not even the main computer room, that upstairs in another buliding and it's seldom I go up there...prefer to do all remote from my desk if I can... |
