feast - 4/5: fun horror-flick with krista allen *wub*.
it's actually a 3/5, but the short description of the
characters and the women give extra credit. it reminded me
of tarantino in places.

this borat movie seems to be a hit. i never warmed up to
that character, nor ali g so much for that matter.

little miss sunshine - 3.2243/5 (rating includes quality of
popcorn and beverage, seat comfort, the people sitting to my
left, my girlfriend lolling on my right)

Nor did I, which made this film very surprising. It's not
just a series of interviews like his segmenta on ali g, but
more of a candid look into the heart of america. It's the
kind of humour you can appreciate because it's coming from
someone who's literally putting his safety on the line for a
punchline.

Serenity - 2/5, change my rating.

watched the rather nice Firefly series and had to re-watch
this movie which is a sequel to the series. The movie is
still shitty.

I want to write an open letter to filmmakers and ask them to
quit cheap tricks with shocking sound-design and fucking
blue color-filtered or post-processed colors. Why all
science fiction and horro movies have to be blue?

Boring. Interesting idea handled with lack of creativity.
Did not ultilize Will Ferrel's comedy abilities.

I saw "The Fountain" yesterday on the Stockholm
Filmfestival. I have to say that Darren Aronofsky lived up
to all of his expectations. It was an amazing movie, a movie
in the best sence. It deals with love and dead, what could
be better subjects? People living in the US, should go out
this weekend and go and see the movie. Just Amazing. 5/5

I can't wait for the Fountain, won't be out over here till
next year though :(

anyone seen Pan's Labyrinth yet?

The Prestige - 4/5

Casino Royale - 3/5
the best Bond in a while but still not great, the new bond
seems a bit more realistic, gritty, human... but he's a
little too much of those, there isn't enough of the Bond
charm we're used to with Sean Connery. The finale was
dissapointing too and it dragged in places... not one i'd
choose to watch again

Children of Men - 3/5
Casino Royale - 4/5 : like panta said, this is a more
realistic bond. but i disagree on the bond-part. yes, this
one lacks the connery humor/charms, but he's way more
realistic. this bond is of a different order of any past
bond. and i hope they stick to it. otherwise it'd be an
endless farce trying to recreate the connery-bond, which
won't happen in a million years anyways. the connery-bond
had it's charms, but this one has the thrills. more
please...

a scanner darkly - 7/10 - really shed a tear at the end.
although this thing with that filter htrough the whole film
was sometimes rather disturbing than adding to the movie.
sometimes i had the feeling they made the movie and then at
the end just added this to make it more interesting.

lord of war - 8/10 damn good movie - the camera operator is
a genious, and the movie itself is really fresh.
