yeah thats one crazy film, not his best but enjoyable
nonetheless. The con man cracked me up, especially when he
said he was from the American military... then 'more
accurately, the British army'. Nice dig at the Brishish
involvement in Iraq there :)

nochnoy dozor - 0/5
--
another flickie about vampires or something that reminds
them a lot. Effects remind lord of teh rings a lot, and
sometimes matrix. Not an interesting movie - i decoded to
press alt+F4 near middle. why everybody in formem ussr is
ready to have babies with this flickie, i do not understand
that. My sister said that she cried after watching this
film. Am i so unsensitive that i can't cry? I just ate some
stewed cabbage with some rice staring at bsplayer showing me
new crap. those who will watch next oscar ceremonie will
possibly be able to see the new russian flickie nochnoy
dozor (night patrol?) there. Be sure to check it and tell me
then if i am mistaking, when calling this motion picture
crap.

I was very reluctant to do so, but I knew that if I didn't
get it out the way it would just be there, nagging at me for
the rest of my life. Anyway, it's out the way now.

At least there was a Kitano cameo.

what i've seen recently:

the andromeda strain - **1/2
a bit boring overall, but the ending and the vivisection

cannibal! the musical - ****
as far as low-budget parodies of "oklahoma" go, this is the
best one.

"i'm sure it will suck, but i want to see christian bale,

why are you sure it will suck? I couldn't care less about
Christian Bale whoever he is, the main thing that got me
interested in the film was a review I read that said it was
heavily influenced by Crime and Punishment by Dostoevsky,
which i'm reading at the moment.

i was kidding about christian bale, look at him!
he lost 60 pounds to play "trevor reznik" (wonder where they
got THAT name...). hope the role is worth going to the
trouble. if it's a shitty movie like insomnia's remake
(never saw the original) for example (in my opinion, if
anybody likes this film that's all right with me), well
then, congratulations christian bale, you've wasted your
efforts.

the story sounds interesting enough, but in this genre (if
i'm correct in assuming it's a psychological thriller drama
or whatever, i could be wrong) it's easy to fuck up an
interesting plot.
