are drugs for losers?

or are they valid?
i'm not talking about smack and crack, i mean stuff like
e's, weed acid and ketamine.
theres no way that i'd do any of the hardcore ones (i've
seen what happens to people), but as long as you don't cane
it all the time, i don't see how it can fuck you up.
everything in moderation, right?
i mean taking too many drugs will fuck you up, but eating
too many burgers will too. whats the real difference between
drugs and fast food - they're both addictive, right?????

it depends on person. if you can realize that the depression
you feel is beacuse you changed your chemistry than u're not
a loser.
but come on! drugs and fast food are really different
things! hehe.

Pot is probably less harmful than alcohol.

Hallucinogens like acid, on the other hand, can muck your
head up if you were a bit edgy to start with.

If anything we should be doing more drugs. I'd rather all
the politicians of the world get high and have fun than to
sit around thinking about how to start wars.

its a lot less harmful than booze.
but you do get potaholics too, right?

i thought there wasn't anything in marijuana that can get
you addicted to it, and that was one of the reasons it's so
much less harmful than other drugs..

that's just me being a 14 yr. old kid with no drug
experience...*cough* 'cept i've been second hand smoking all
my life >_< i swear i'm getting addicted

the reason that i ask is that my woman gives me grief for
getting fucked every weekend with my mates. she says i'll
end up being a junkie, blah blah blah.
but itake her out in the week, have a good job earning ok
money and stuff.
i think she reckons that i love drugs more than her. foolish
woman.
but if everyone WAS fucked on drugs, then the world might be
a better place.
everyone would be too spaced out to fucking shoot each
other.

Potaholics are just lazy and dopey. Alcoholics are violent
and ruin your carpet.

well if the negative effects outweight the positive effects
..
negative effects being addiction, law, health

its a tricky subject, the massive effort to stop them gives
them a negative image, but with marijuana they dont showits
medicinal effects enough. Casual use can be controlled if
done right (see netherlands or wherever) but i just think
all the negative effects it does to people cause the
government to be so harsh, rightfully so

one good thing about drugs, is that your records sound
really MENTAL when your off it. i know i'm kinda missing the
point of this subject, but its true.
saw2 on strong acid is scary. and so am i.
but drugs have got a negative image, people who take them
are regarded as wasters by some, but surely it is better to
have a good time in life than worrying about what people
think of you for doing it?
i think the key is not to overdo it and to know your limits,
else you will end up a serious messhead who sells all their
stuff.

I don't think there's anything wrong with pot that isn't
worse with other, *legal* substances - alcohol and
cigarettes, for example, or certain prescription drugs. And
it's up to the individual to decide whether the good
outweighs the bad. This isn't heroin or crack.

Canada looks like it's ging to decriminalize it next year,
and I say good. The only thing it will hurt is organized
crime.

I just like trying new stuff.

I really want sope acid but it's kind of hard to find here.

I do a fair bit of speed and e though (go to raves) and a
fair bit of weed (mostly on weekends though, coz I know it
does kind of mess with yr memory a bit if you do it all the
time)

I love a good drink too, though.

It's not an escapist attitude, it's justa fun and usually
sociable thing to do (well pot isn't really, which is why i
oly smoke weed on nights where not much is happening)

drugs are like fire. not inherently bad, but potentially
dangerous. there is no clear boudary between food spice and
drugs anyhow. there is always something inbetween that
defies labels. it's all lying on a continuum, like race.
your burger has drugs in it. some of your drugs have
nutrition. some of your spices are drugs. some of the
chemicals produced in your brain are drugs. you can't
rightly say "drugs good" or "drugs bad" any more than you
can say "italians stupid" or "asians smartest"

I should say drugs are ambivalent (?). I mean you can use
them for the good reasons ( have fun with mates, paint,
read, play music ) and the bad ones ( escape from every day
problems, boredom...). It's only your responsibility to say
"stop I'm going too far, doing drugs is not a good idea
those days - let's make a break" and re-tox later like fat
boy slim says.

Music is the druq to take! Druqks is mine!
You will all be surprised by the fact that you one day
can´t control your drug use anymore. I´m honest, I know I
would like drugs so much I would get trapped. That´s why I
even haven´t tried! But go on, live a short and (hopefully)
lucy life. I take the smaller road, I have to find my drugs
in other things. The best possible drug is god. But
unfortunantly he dosn´t fit me.
Music & Creativity is the ´Drugs I recommend for you, they
are more difficult to get(money dosn´t do it) but they are
wicked when you get them!!

I used to drink absolutely loads- every night after work,
going to school still drunk, drinking down the pub on my own
in 6th form etc. still, I did okay :)

I still cane it sometimes when I go out, but I go out less
and usually don't get mashed.

Not into drugs, I've seen it mess some people up.

Drugs can trigger things hidden deep within your mind which,
once triggered, may never go away. Maybe this can be
beneficial but in the few cases I personally know of it
was/is far from fun :(

Yes to answer your question drugs are for losers. Weak
losers at that, who can't cope with life. I have absolutely
no respect whatsoever for people who take drugs. I wouldn't
even want to associate with them.

TonyFish,

And your point is?

I don't get drunk. You see we in England have a culture
which is called 'getting drunk on a Friday'. In Europe drink
is a pleasure, its something they do for pleasure not to get
drunk. So its hardly surprising they regard us as so crude,
not that I'm pro Europe or anything.

I am aware of the relaxing effect alcohol can have on you
but I wouldn't say I have ever got drunk. People like to be
part of the gang, to feel accepted, so that means you must
drunk and puke up regularly, you must take drunks etc etc.
Its just weak.

Nearly 1/3 of the population (in England) have taken drugs
in the UK and on top of that a lot of people regularly get
'pissed' during the weekend, this is hardly subversive
culture, its pretty commonplace. Its peer group pressure and
most people are so weak they sucumb. I am proud to say that
I didn't and never had any interest in doing so. I am not
puritanical or a religious nut. I just believe its for weak
people and have always thought so.

hahaha you're speaking to someone who's lived in france half
his life and loathes the 'getting drunk on friday' thing. I
totally agree with you. In europe people drink for pleasure
or as an intergral part of a meal. While we are on the
subject they also eat for pleasure when we english eat to
survive (generalisation). Anyway, nice to meet an fellow
englishman who's on the same wavelength :)

Drugs have been around for ever. Animals use them when they
figure out which plants to eat. etc.
And yes, it is weak kinda. But animals are weak. They do
things for pleasure and don't really think about
consequences.
And in case you hadn't figured it, humans are animals too.
