I saw it, I dug it. It's stupid to compare movies to books, that's what you'd call comparing apples and oranges. In general, when you try to tell a story originally written in a 300+ page novel and tell it in a 2 hour movie, of course it's not going to cover everything.

I only liked it for the neat eye-candy. I'm a sucker for futuristic stuff.

i loved it, best film i've seen since mulholland drive.
Can't understand most of the negative comments here on it, i thought it was a dark almost alternative film compare to most "blockbusters" but i guess it's cool to bash successful films.

and Tom Cruise is shit? oh another "cool" thing to say...

Haha Minority Report from Philip K. Dick is actually a short novel with 54 pages. :-) And it is actually mainly action, very brief.

Spielberg added a lot of crap to the storyline.

well, there were pointless scenes in there.. I thought the old milk/sandwich thing was extremely stupid - not funny, but trying to be. WRONG!

also, everything gets explained to DEATH (although, what should you expect from a hollywood blockbuster) - the whole thing with Cruise on the telephone in the ending - WE GET IT ALREADY!

  finally, the ending. AAAARGH! crapcrapcrap.
that said, I quite enjoyed it. liked the philosophical implications of a precrime system. I did think the Agatha actress was pretty good.

I was actually most surprised by John Williams' music - he uses electronics! MY GOD!

I don't think Cruise was that good, but he wasn't bad either.

best thing he's done must be "magnolia".
