Just bought a new digital camera...

Hello I have just parted company with £300 for a new
digital camera off a "dodgy mate" who acquired two from his
place of work, a warehouse down on the docks.

Anyway the camera is a brand new Nikon D100 digital
SLR...not being a photographer I was wondering what peoples
opinion of it was.

Not familiar with that particular model, but the Nikon
digital cameras I've used have been excellent.

as daft as it sounds I actually thought that. I will have
to take a photo of the camera to prove it.

Actually I have just thought that is what mirrors are for :D

You can have half of my face and the camera (sorry about the
blur, I am stoned and can't control my muscles, or the
autofocus didn't work through the mirror properly) :P

What do i think of it? i think your very lucky for getting a
two thousand dollar camera for about 500. thats a hell of a
deal. but from the picture quality of your photo, i believe
you still need time to learn all its functions.

Beware though. i have heard those arent the most sturdy
cameras in the world. one thing to watch out for is the
memory slot. breaks easy.

Enjoy! and hope your friend doesnt get caught. cause he
will. NO ONE. just dismisses 2 2000 dollar cameras missing
from their inventory. cause i guarantee youll be getting a
call as well. believe me. i know.

I literally just took it out of the box found the little
switch that moves to on, held it up to the mirror and
pressed the shutter :P

As for my mate his steals tons of stuff and has done for
years. He got me two laptops less than a year ago and sold
them to me for £400 the pair.

Err, as I said I know nothing about this stuff. I just have
the one lens and it has 50mm 1:1.8 D written on it. I don't
know if that is what you mean?

Excellent.

When I was younger I got given a second hand Canon A1 from a
family friend. It was a bit of a short lived hobby though
as I was very poor and couldn't afford the cost of getting
the film developed. I just have the urge to go back out now
and start taking photos though.

eye missing.

Thanks for the cake making device w M w. I'm messing around
with it now. I take it the idea is to use a relatively
sparse beat as the original sample. I've tried it with
something that was pretty complex in the first place and it
sounds much too garbled. Your example file sounded wicked
though.
