i want to hear some nice stuff with distorted guitars and
good vocals (though instrumentals will do nicely) and either
electronic beats or acoustic drums.. but it has to be nice
melodies and chords and such..

+ i already have heard these bands
.: tool
.: mogwai
.: mudvayne (hey, they do have a few really nice tracks)
.: mars volta

DO IT!

Japanese Telecom 'Nipponese Robots'. The most funkiest bad
ass tune you'll hear in a long time.

Sonic Youth. Sonic Youth. Sonic Youth. Sonic Youth. Sonic
Youth. Sonic Youth.

For nice melodies and all, get their latest album, Murray
Street
.

shit this ones hard... uh...... I would tell you to look at
the Shizit, but they are harsh and are not what you want,
they are guitars with lots of crazy electronic drumming...
ill think about it..

Definately Sonic Youth and Godspeed You Black Emperor!, both
are better than Mogwai imo.

Also Xinlisupreme and Boredoms, both excelent Japanese
bands.

As you mentioned Tool, i'd go for NIN first (if you haven't
already) although Tool are very good.

Jesus and the Mary Chain and of course My Bloody Valentine,
possibly the greatest band with distorted guitars.

A Silver Mount Zion is great, but it might not be what
you're looking for.

Also, check out the Pixies if you don't know them already,
which would suck. And Grandaddy, maybe, why not ? Yeah.

Oh, fuck. Get Spiderland, by Slint. Now. Go. And
Loveless, by My Bloody Valentine. Two of the best
albums ever.

I like music.

I don't like Kylie's voice on that song, it needed someone
more ethereal imo.
