I think this is why despite its current popularity in modern culture, something like the Lord of The Rings has great literary value and is very well written, and worth defending as something good and not trite or disposable like a lot of things that have acquired mainstream popularity. Although I enjoy the films immensely they miss out a shit load of context. |
