right, the old "first thing tomorrow" that never comes
im sitting on a couple of remixes,
a shmup, a brawler and & their osts,
but then threres work, gf, the handyman task hydra,
porn, paperwork, meeting with friends etc..
one day ill get back to being a jobless hermit and get shit
done,
but then ill be all depressed too.
there is just no way to make it right.
and then i want to have a kid/s too.
when is there supposed to be time for all that?

i've run into this problem where now that i've learned to
arrange & compose songs rather quickly, it makes me put them
off knowing i can finish them at basically any point. i've
actually been on a dopamine fast the last few weeks though,
so it's killed a lot of motivation to work on music in the
meantime. i've got to reset my levels before just the act of
making music in itself is the reward. usually weed motivates
me somewhat to work on music, so i'm waiting to get back
some natural motivation without it.

I think you have to avoid the internet outright for a
dopeamine fast. You probably have to just sit in a dark room
and do nothing. Seeing a reply to your topic would probably
elevate your levels on it's own.

yeah the internet is definitely a factor; i'm basically
using it in the meantime while my body goes through the
horrendous caffeine withdrawal symptoms (far worse than lack
of sugar, sleep, calories, thc) i've been dealing with and
to keep myself distracted from every other craving, though
lately i've mostly been using internet to put movies on in
the background. i just bought a bunch of books to read over
the course of the next few weeks though to keep me
distracted & away from the internet once my body adjusts to
the brunt of these physiological changes; about the only
thing i can give my attention to right now is the ceiling
and my thoughts. once i get a little more of my mind back, i
can just go read a book or skateboard or whatever; something
that produces a more natural & rewarding dopamine response
over artificial, technological bullshit.
