I got a new job and now my employer wants me to wear glasses. This is so devastating for me that i can't relax or sleep. I am short sighted since i am 14 but i never wore glasses, and now this. I don't want to wear glasses nor contacts, i associate them with nerdiness and weakness. |

I have been avoiding wearing glasses for about a decade not for the sake of vanity but simply for the fact that prescription glasses are bloody expensive here and I generally lose them within 24hours of getting them..without fail :( |

the thought just struck me that maybe this life is in fact hell. traditionally hell is thought of as (1) a place where you might end up *after* this life and (2) as a place where you are punished for your wrong deeds in this life. but maybe really the present life is hell aready. maybe it's part of the devilish punishment that you are not aware that you are in hell and that you don't know what you are punished for. ... cause it's strange. you don't choose to be born, you are born. you don't choose the world you are born into, you are thrown into it. you can't just end your life, because as soon as you're born your life is interconnected with those of several other people and you hold a certain responsibilty for them. ...... as a human being one is so dependent on uncontrollable powers, that it's overwhelming.. so maybe this is hell, i conclude. |
