so KEN, your saying being "pro paedophillia or gang
rape" is the same as I or FLEX saying
"fuck them hoes" or " they are sluts"???

That is SO fucking ridiculous...Not even close my friend,
you have got alot to think about if YOU can make that
comparison.

The subjects you mentioned are VERY serious topics that
affect BOTH sexes in MANY ways in the world. I would never
joke about those subjects let alone make a comment about
them, I dont know about them at all.
Your making statements that are ridiculous and especially
the ones calling me out....You just dont know what your
talking about.

Meho: don't you think that it must be seen in its context.
What we're talking about is related to violence against
women - rape etc.

Ken: I'll repeat: An opinion is an opinion. My opinion is no
more valid than someones just because their is
pro-paedophilia or something like that (that we, and by this
I mean me and you, consider inacceptible in our society). I
never pass moral judgements and think that they serve mostly
to keep the society going. As this MB is not going to affect
society (not on a significant level, anyway), I don't think
any beanning or so would be necessary. And anyway I always
think that shooting a paedophille that I consider danger for
my community is more frutiful than trying to persuade them
to reconsider their opinion. I respect their opinion as
their attributed right, so my action would be purely
pragmatic.

Christ! Iron Lung and Reflex will never understand what
we're talking about. Life must be easy when everything is as
given - no questioning of the status quo, no critical
thinking. Ignorance is bliss and other cliches.

Violence against women is bad as well as violence against
men I think. Seeing women as objects is not the same as
seeing women as property and that's where the violence stems
from, jonesy.

All views are equally vaild? So the views and aims of the
Nazis were just as valid as the Jews in the ghettos of
Eastern Europe? Or the views of a Holocaust survivor are
equal in validity to a Nazi who denys the Holocaust ever
happened?

ironlung you are way off the mark-my point if you would care
to reread my remarks was that certain comments do not have a
place on this mb. like yours, so where should the line be
drawn? if your comments are acceptable whats to stop someone
posting about paedophillia, gang rape, snuff murders et
all?-the lines are incredibly thin my friend. oh and one
more thing-if you would care to reread my comments once
more-i was certainly not joking about those two examples.

A culture that portrays women as sexual objects gives the
rapist little to contemplate before he rapes. His actions
are sanctioned.

Jonesy: a culture that prtraits people as property is more
how i see it. And, yes, all opinions are equally valid to
me. There is no absolute truth unless you believe in god
(and I don't think you do) and I base my actions on
pragmatical reasons, not on ideologies.

ANT WOMEN WHO WANDERS INTO THIS DISCUSSION ON THIS MB FOR
THE SAKE OF OPINIONS? ILL SAY IT ONCE MORE-THERE ARE PLACES
FOR SHIT LIKE THAT. AND IRONLUNGS AND REFLEXS OPINIONS MAY
BE OPINIONS BUT THEY BREED HATRED-THATS WHAT IM AGAISNT AND

careful to let them know this.

Ken: I will give respect to anybody, incl. women on this
board just out of courtesy (a pragmatic choice: I want to
be able to discuss things with anybody and that includes
reflex (whose opinions i don't like from time to time) and
Ironlung). But not just because they're women or something,
it's a pragmatic reason, just as it is that I don't
automatically punch anyone in the street whose face i don't
like. Respecting someone just for being a woman is as
ridiculous as putting them down for being a woman.
Discrimination anyway. And what's with those caps? Are you
mad?

And jonesy: my truth and your truth can be agreed upon if we
need to run our society

those who dance and strip... thats hard man... but it is a
way the have of earning some money to live...so we must
respect their job as any other... besides it must not be
very pleasant for them to dance in a sexy way in front of
strangers who think they are only a piece of meat.... and
they are not.

I totally agree! It's like Freek shows. People thought it
was right to close them all down but now the "freeks" cant
get jobs so they're out of money. They enjoyed staring in
the shows but people shut them because they thought it was
degrading the them. The do-gooders did wrong and I think the
same could happen to strippers. It's their job. and the work
hard for it.

nacmat you're a bit late to join this but are welcome
anyway. jonesy: shared experience? how do you know what my
experience of certain thing is and how it relates to yours?
no truth unless we AGREE and that's the bitch: truth is a
matter of belief.
And Iron: I think everybody here would want to buy you a
drink, too. Cheers.

Oh, and I'm leaving for a meeting in 2 minutes, so see you
all. Love ya.

If you research it... its the "freeks" that set up the shows
in the first place.

That is the only way they can make money. since they've been
closed no one will employ them. it's very sad.

agreed-and besides it just reinforces ignorant views-people
with deformaties and learning disabilities are seen as sub
standard to the 'norm'. whether its good for those in the
show isnt really the point-the consequences stretch further
into peoples views of another section of society-imagine
having a museam full of black people that people paid to
see-assuming all the people got paid well and were happy,
its hardly the point is it??

that most are unhappy now that the shows have been closed.
