What're the Israelis thinking?

This is all just a ploy of the phantom gov't of the U.S. to
use Israel as a puppet to force the hand of Syria and Iran
(since the war in Iraq prevents them from doing it outright
publicly)....

Not that any of the U.S.'s conflicts, spoken of or acted
upon otherwise, began several months before a country such
as Iraq or North Korea switched their trade currency from
the Dollar to the Euro. Syria will do so in December.
Coincidence? I think not.

i don't hate any country of the world, israel as well
i just hate the bad people which livein those countries
so i could say palestine has got terrorists and israel has
got xenophobe people who wanna destroy more than terrorists,
they wanna destroy cities and innocents

not more or less that US imperialists like to do sometimes
around the world

redrum-

I think YOU need to get YOUR fucking facts straight.

Every war that Israel has been involved in, including the
6-day war, were efforts of all the surrounding arab
countries to gang up on Israel and do away with them once
and for all and each time they've had their asses handed to
them. Israel did not start these wars, but they did finish
them.

I never claimed that the Israelis are saints, but they allow
Arabs to live in Israel and participate in their government.
Arabs living in Israel have a way higher standard of living
than the poor bastards who live under Palestinian rule. The
Palestinians have been given copious amounts of aid with
which they could have improved their lot and had a much
nicer way of life than they do now. Instead, the money goes
towards lining the pockets of their corrupt leadership and
to buy bombs and weapons to be used against Israel. Their
people are purposely kept to live in refugee camps so the
Arabs can blame it all on Israel. Do you think any Jews are
welcome in any of the surrounding Arab nations? They've been
kicked out of every surrounding country.

And the propaganda that you've obviously bought into
regarding the alleged shelling of the family on the Gaza
beach - that was a mine planted by Hamas, not a shell fired
from Israel. Israelis, as opposed to Palestinians, go after
militants and criminals and try to limit as much as possible
the collateral damage. Whereas Palestinians aim to kill as
many civilians as possible.

maybe because their country isn't real? there are a few
things you just can't create.. a language that is supposed
to work as a natural language and a country are among these
things.

Do you actually believe that story about children killed on
the beach? Does obduction of a single soldier look like a
rational retaliation to such a thing? To me it looks
blatantly like a provocation.

Well, I didn't bother to check if the obduction was supposed
to be a retaliation, so in case the story is more
complicated: I don't care.

I actually don't know.. I have the worlds worst geography

much controversy there.. or do you mean right now? 'cause I
think iraq was once mesopotamia which is an old country...

That's what I meant. I know that Iraq was created on the
terrains of Mesopotamia, but when modern Iraq was
established nobody believed in Enki and other sumerian gods.
I suspect that at the beginning of 20-th century there were
relatively as many kurds living there as nowadays for
example (if not more given the massacres). Basicly Iraq was
created the way it is because it was easy to govern for the
British. Don't quote me on this by no means, but that's what
they said in the magic box.

not that i support terrorism, but come on. if you are dirt
poor and you are fighting a massive military force, you
gotta think outside the box. if i were in a fight with a
300 pound ultimate fighter, you better believe i'm kicking
for the nuts, throwing sand, biting, fish hooking, anything
to get some kind of edge.

the Israelis are acting just like the U.S. all
self-righteously pummeling these terrorists with little
regard for collateral damage. it's a self perpetuating
conflict. both sides say the other started it, like some 7
year old children, slapping each other in the back of dad's
minivan. slapping harder and harder untill dad steps in and
rings both their necks. I guess the UN is supposed to be
dad here, but that's not really happening.

Getting more and more serious and desperate by the day..

Lebanese Prime Minister Fouad Siniora said the number of
Lebanese killed in the 10 days of violence was more than
330.

In an interview with CNN he said that more than 55 bridges
had been destroyed, and that Israeli forces had also
targeted ambulances and medical convoys.

The Israeli army continues to describe these [ground
offensive] operations as "pin-point", involving fewer than a
thousand troops.

However, reports in the Israeli media say that several
thousand have already been deployed and that large numbers
of reserves have been called up.

Israeli Defence Minister Amir Peretz has warned that Israel
is prepared to launch a full-scale ground operation if
necessary.

"Let no terror organisation feel we would cower from any
operation," he said. "We have no intention of conquering
Lebanon but... we will do it without thinking twice."

This certainly won't blow over like people had
optimistically expected..

US-based Human Rights Watch says Israel has used cluster
bombs in civilian areas during its assault on Lebanon.

The group says an attack using the munitions on the village
of Blida last week killed one person and injured 12.

It says the explosives - which disperse after impact - are
"unacceptably inaccurate and unreliable", and should not be
used in populated areas.

Critics say cluster bombs leave behind a large number of
unexploded bomblets, which often kill long after they are
fired.

UN peacekeepers in south Lebanon contacted Israeli troops
10 times before an Israeli bomb killed four of them, an
initial UN report says.

The post was hit by a precision-guided missile after
six hours of shelling, diplomats familiar with the probe
say.

Israel Threatens to Bomb All Cars in Southern
Lebanon

Israel is now threatening to bomb all vehicles driven in
Southern Lebanon. Israeli planes dropped leaflets ordering
residents not to travel by car or truck. Israel has also
warned residents of southern Lebanon not to go outdoors
after 10 p.m.

not just your opinion. it's what bin laden says as well.
well he mentions the fall of the towers in lebanon:

"While I was looking at these destroyed towers in Lebanon,
it sparked in my mind that the tyrant should be punished
with the same and that we should destroy towers in America,
so that it tastes what we taste and would be deterred from
killing our children and women," he said.

"God knows that it had not occurred to our mind to attack
the towers, but after our patience ran out and we saw the
injustice and inflexibility of the American-Israeli alliance
toward our people in Palestine and Lebanon, this came to my
mind," he said.

anyway, bin laden was wrong to think that blowing up the WTC
would have deterred further attacks on Palestine. we
obviously cannot learn from history, or as bush likes to say
"the american people will not be intimidated." So we
probably should expect more 9/11 style backlash in the years
to come.

if the NSA is scanning this posting, i am not condoning
terrorism. please don't smash into my condo and scare my
baby and drag me away to GITMO or whatever.

You certainly can expect more 9/11 style backlash .. There's
so much that's happened since - the invasion of afghanistan,
guantanamo, invasion of iraq, abu ghraib, this
israel-lebanon war, and much more.. Everything that's
happening is just giving extremist nuts more excuses and
justification (in their eyes) for their actions.
