I kind of wish I lived somewhere other than here just because I feel ashamed talking to anyone who's not in america, but at the same time, I like living here for the most part. you could say I have a love-hate relationship with my country- i love living here, but i hate the way our government and some of the people portray its image to the rest of the world. |

War isn't clinical. Many innocents die unnecessarily. It is hell on earth and there are always atrocities. If there wasn't an insurgency then there wouldn't be destruction. It'd be all happy faces and rainbows. But there is an insurgency, and we have to deal with it. The Iraqi government doesn't seem to want us to go. They know if we don't help fix things other foreign entities will come and take over. They don't want that. And no, we are not worse than terrorists. We have standards, respect for humanity. The terrorists don't. If they had their way with you it'd be your allegiance to Islam or your head. America can give a fuck about Sweden, you mean no harm to use, we mean none to you. |

why is there such a hatred of america in so much of the world? im guessing its to do with america supporting israel, who really piss the palestinians off american transnational companies diluting local cultures (mcdonalds etc.) american transnationals destroying local markets invading iraq and afghanistan etc. (only after 9-11 though) |

the thing is american governament used 'freeing of iraqui people' as a cover up to what they were really in for. also, the army did a mess there and they have no idea how to solve it. and that has a lot to do with marginal people being drafted and they can't handle it to well when they're sent there. my opinion ofcourse. |
