No, because your first step is wrong.

A-B
---- x 100 =C
B

A-C
----- x 100 = B
B

^No

That's because
A-B
---- *100 = C
B

is actually
(100A/B) - (100B/B) = C
or (100A/B) - 100 = C

so if you subtract C you just get

100A/B - 100 - C = 0
