How can anyone say that star treck universe is better than
starwars universe.
Star treck to me is so boring and cheap and the "different
alien species" all look like humans.lol
A creature like Rancor or the mighty AT AT 's (walkers)
would never appear in star treck.
Starwars on the other hand has so much originality. One thing
that i love for example is that all ships and vehicles look
dirty and brused.Look at Boba fett's brused helmet and
armor, theres a history in that armor man!!the lack of story
details makes your own imagination work.Thats why i loved it
so much as a kid ,the simple story and dialog but yet very
detailed interior.
Look at the imperial enviroments with cold color scheme
,those black and white stormtroopers and grey metall halls
with the cool automatic doors.
So much deepth
And has there ever been a more pure evil than the Emperor.
Has there ever been a more powerfull character than
vader.Listen to his voice man!!
When i die i hope i wake up in the forest of Endor next to
one of those cool speeders wearing a Scout Trooper armor.

Ps my bad english doesen't allow me to fully expres my
thoughts...very frustrating.

Star Wars! In my opinion it's a lot more
creative/interesting/spooky than star trek.

Jordi LaForge was played by that guy from Readin Rainbow so
I have to say that is deffinant step up fro Trek
but, hey, fucking Star Warz!!!
except that new stuff...
Captain Kirk could fart in a cup and make you drink it and
it would taste better than that feeling you get in yer
auditory poops from that... yeah

I love the three old episodes of Star Wars.

They changed my life.

I was ten when I saw the first one.

I also still have a lot of the Parker Toys at home.

I got lots.

AT-AT...Jabba the Hut...

...lots of figures and even more space ships...

and I agree with Sido the new ones are crap.

Family Entertainment.

I still remember the good old days when I was a kid - saw
the first one where at the beginning is written part 4 and i
always thought that the first 3 episodes where never
released in Germany.

So now I know why and the thought of Lucas behind it is nice
but in the end it doesn´t fit to me.

The old ones look old and that´s good that way and know
come the real old episodes and the look perfect and all is
digital.

There´s something wrong...

You have AT-AT ? Cooooool!!!
You must be a lucky man Marble.
Me and Raimons went out today on a search for old starwars
toys and found lots of cool and rare stuff but it was very
expensive.
You could make lots of money on ebay but i suggest you keep
all that good stuff to yourself.

Yeah - I´m a lucky man.

You´re right I´ll keep that stuff.

I would never give away my childhood.

These toys are the most important toys

I´ve ever had.

Some of them stand in my room for decoration.

I love Star Wars

Hooray !!!!

bashed as some are...
i bought about 70 episode I figures.......keep them in the
plastic case baby.....
some of the original figures (1977 and so on...)in cases
are way sweet and worth a little $$$.

p.s. the $$ means NOTHING to me.

I like both but I'd have to choose Startrek, because the
cultures are better developed. Especially in the Deep Space
9 episodes. I think the first few Startrek movies were
really, really bad though...

star wars. easily. star trek has become a bland soap opera
that just happens to be set in space. all the aliens are
humans with some prosthetic on their foreheads.
every race in the universe wears perfect, body-hugging
nylon. and to top it all, their new 'prequel' series
'enterprise' looks like it's set 200 years later than the
original kirk series it's meant to pre-date. it's totally
lost it. the only one of the movies that was really good was
(he says controversially) the first one, 'Star Trek The
Motion Picture', because it was serious, frightening and had
a bald alien woman, which is always a bonus.

Star Wars on the other hand, is a much more unpredictable
universe, as you'll see no doubt this week when the new
trailer is released online. You even get to see the young
Darth Vader having a drink beside huge billboards
advertising alien stuff, and being offered drugs. That's
better if you ask me. When would you see that in 'Dynasty
Space 9'?

I've got the Millennium Falcon - both old and new, and the
old and new AT-AT. I've noticed that the newer Star Wars
stuff is obviously made from identical molds (practically
the same) - yet painted a lot more realistically. When I
look back at some of the older figures I have (as expensive
as they probably are), they are quite crappy in terms of
detail compared to nowadays..

I always wanted to have the Dagobah swamp set where Yoda
lived. Never had it though...

only pictures of the toy or drawings.

I agree with you, the older stuff does have so much value,
not just $$ but sentimental value as well. Not that I would
ever sell any of it, even the newer stuff.

One of favourite items that I have in my collection is a
Star Wars Chronicles hardback book - it cost me £100!! No
one except me is allowed to touch it! :-)

Working on the avatar bit - mixing alien with ET just to see
what bug turns up -
As for Star Trek - weak morality tales mixed with remodulate
the frequencies - no offence to Trekkies just not my cup of
Tea
