road rash would be hard, at least road rash 2 since I'm
really familiar with it (play it lots). That type of melody
is beyond my ability anyway.

send that URL to exceque since he's apparently going to be
the one mixing it... don't want to spoil the surprise of the
Vibes by having the tracks heard beforehand! :D

Well, the tracks will be mixed together - like a DJ set I
believe! ... At least, I think that is what happens!

looks like my, albeit hesitant and questioning, proposal has
been accepted. yeah, link me up to xceque@xltronic.com or
send actual files to xceque@gmail.com. Best quality mp3
please for finished tracks (or lossless preferable - though
gmailing those might be tricky cos they's big innit) since
they'll be re-compressed in the final shebang.

if I don't.

The rules of this I'll leave up to... *quickly opens thread
in other window to see who started it* ...marlowe. Just hand
me the final tracks and I'll assemble them into some kind of
ramshackle whole.

mean by that?

as in formats or in signal?

and...will you mix the compilation as marlowe said?

The Italian swine! Well, once all the stuff is ready, if I
feel I'm crap at it, I'll pass the baton to someone else.
But I will give it a try.

plaster: "recompress" as in decode mp3 -> re-encode mp3.
Since these vibes get hosted as mp3 and the individual
tracks usually get presented to the mixer as mp3 there is
clearly going to be some transcoding involved. Best thing
would be to have a non-compressed (or lossless) set of
tracks to mix from, then the final mix could be either mp3
or lossless if so desired.

could have maybe thought of a basic bpm for the tracks and
coulda made it one big mega mix

Well, the higher the better, but if you want to encode it at
x bitrate in whatever format I'm not going to reject
it cos of that.
