Well Warp gave us 26 Mixes for Cash with tracks that were
sourced from MP3.

Then Warp gave us the HAB tracks on bleep which sounded
almost as bad as the vinyled old mp3s we all have. They
weren't "remastered" at all.

So why do we think it's gonna change? Perhaps there's just
no way to bring justice to those HABs... :-|

i should clarify - its a great piece of work if you will,
but whats the big deal with releasing it on CD? warp
released it as a "high quality download" if you think they
are not going to release the similarly-mastered-tracks or
tracks from the same originals on this CD, then....
btw, those high quality mp3s werent so high quality.

Yeah the HAB weren't even in "High quality" when they
offered them in download.

Like I said my opinion on this release is pretty low,
considering the MP3'ed 26 Mixes for Cash (that was one of
the lowest form of low of all time by Warp), and the bad
quality of the Bleep HABs. I hope that Warp Records
surprise us.

The mp3's they released on bleep seemed to be sourced from a
pre-mastered version, maybe the original dat or cdr. They
were pretty quiet and flat when compared with what ended up
on viynl. Maybe the best thing to come of it will be a
professionally mastered digital version. Although it seems
kind of stingy to not include anything new after all this
time.

but if rdj's contract to warp has expired, why would he give
something new? i reckon they are releasing it to fill the
contract or something.

alternately, to make a shit load of money, to compensate for
all the rubbish acts (my opinion) that they have been
signing lately.

emailling them asking when are they rereleasing Hangable
Autobulb.

Great news - I sold my HABs years ago, finally I might be
able to get the vinyls again for a reasonable price
second-hand. I won't be buying them on CD.

The artwork feels like those paper sleeves for 45rpm vinyls
with the hole in the middle

achieve.

besides the artwork is hardly better than nothing, i'm sure
you can expect no liner notes at all on this one too.
