ok more questions - what does "host" & "publish" do? still no-one has downloaded anything from me which seems rather strange... how do i know i'm sharing the files i downloaded? |

I never use "host" and "publish", maybe someone else knows? have a look in the azureus faq/manual? if you have downloaded something and not changed anything - not moved the file and/or the torrent-file - you should be sharing it. maybe noone else is downloading Grange Hill? you can see how many seeders/leechers there are. |

you cannot host a torrent yourself - there has to be a "tracker" to which people upload torrents and from which people download the same torrents. the tracker has none of the torrented files themselves, just the torrent-files and keeps track who has what and coordinates downloads. most sites that provide torrents have their own tracker. there is one program, called exeem, that supposes to be a kind of p2p-bittorrent, but it's brimming with spyware. |

you can host a torrent if you have a static IP address. ...i believe i believe azureus will become a tracker if you use it to create the torrent. |

i think you've got to create the torrent ("publish") it, then you can upload it to a repository like what suprnova used to be, or you can "host" it yourself and just pass the link around to peeps. ..but, that'll only work if you've got a static IP so that the address to your machine doesn't change and fzuck up stuff. P.S. i could be wrong about all of this. |

people only download chuncks from you. if there are lots of other people seeding, you may not have to upload much. |

they'll also be downloading from other leechers. you don't have to have the entire file downloaded to have people downloading from you. it's really quite distributed. |

yes i'm on my 2nd episode now nearly finished that. ive also got the now show series 13, which when i re-logged back on a few minutes ago was queued, so i forced it to seed. i don't know if this is a good idea but i did it anyway. |

you managed to register then? :) they have torrents for who dares wins with rory mcgrath & jimmy mulville. unfortunately it crashed and now in my current seeding & leeching info on the site it has all 3 episodes listed twice. this ever happened to you? |
