it is something new from apple, they haven't made a tiny
flash based mp3 player before, not really sure whats so
shocking about them emphasising the random play function
considering there a probably quite a few people in the
target audience that would use that function often.

"there are cheaper options available that are at least of
the
same quality, yet iPod keeps selling like a bitch.
it's being sold by good advertising and hype."

also the best design and user interface.

Also, the iShuffle uses flash memory which makes it more
suitable for using it while jogging or something similar.
Try jogging with the ipod on, now that would probably
seriously fuck up (or in some cases improve) your music.

I'm sure there are enough people in the target audience who
would use that function often, but they would also use it
often on a normal iPod.

"jogging with the ipod on"

works fine, I can even cycle off-road with it without
fucking up the music

ooh Carl. I'm afraid you'll have to read all of the previous
2 months of posts before you can ever hope to join any
current discussion.

I fucking hate iTunes. I installed to update my iPods
firmware and it's gone an re-arranged ALL my fucking MP3
folders because it didnt like the way I had them. Fucking
cockfag bastard thing. I'll have to go through the WHOLE
fucking lot again. I think it's even renamed the fucking
files. FUCKING why didn't it ASK if I wanted that to
happen?

Was it that hard to ask?

I have no idea mate. t3.co.uk might have a review of it
online.

I can recommend the iPod though. No problems with mine.
Apart from the shitty iTunes software.

Correct on all accounts, same goes for the way the whole mac
range are marketed. I hate any faux-hip stuff. Makes me want
to take a bat to the ad-men responsible.

It also makes me chuckle wickedly when I hear about people
being mugged for their Ipods, due to them using those
trademark white earphones.

nah, go for the ipod, it really is the best available, its
not just hype. If your only worried about the price you can
get some good deals on ebay.
