so basically you bought a cd-r on which, if you're lucky,
some kid has burned leak 1 mp3s and if you're really
unlucky, leak 2 mp3s..!

wikipedia is the misinformation of the internet condensed
into one easily ignorable web site.

qrter-

i'm not sure who in their right mind would actually purchase
a burnt copy of a cd that hasn't been released yet.

whats your point?

(coincidently, Wikipedia is down at the moment)

there as
(warp 066)? Look again, thats obviously an old record.

Well it arrived today. Looks pretty legit to me. Unless
they're a master CD copier. I'll run the tracks through a
spectral analyzer to see if they're from Mp3 or not. Should
I say what's on the CD and confirm about Leak 1 being real
or not? Although if it's true Warp sent out fake copies then
I could well have a fake one.....

offline xceque on 2005-03-05 03:43 [#01522195]

Yes, tell us everything. If it's the same as leak #1 it's
the same audio as the promo I have.
Two different promos + same audio = leak #1 very likely the
real deal.

Then we have a Leak #1 as the real deal people. Only
listened to LCC so far but it's the same as Leak #1.

I'm off to Tescos now with this playing in the car to scare
the chavs at the top of the car.

I hope I like it more than the first time.

*prays for a draft like situation*

Why have you got a question mark after Aphex Twin with
regards to GAK? It's definitely him, y'know :-)

I just did a copy and paste :)

I didn't think about the question mark. I know it's him and
that's all I'm worried about :P

Anyway,

This album sounds a lot better on CD than it does from those
MP3's.

I still don't like LCC but I can hear things in it now that
I couldn't before. I don't know if it was maybe a bad rip
that I downloaded but it's still infinitely better on CD.

Pro Radii sounds fucking awesome through speakers rather
than mp3 on headphones. Seriously a fucking good track. I'm
going to do a proper review of the album when I've listened
to it fully and can remember the names of the tracks I'm
thinking about.

Still don't think it's a brilliant album. But it's not
awful. Lets hope further listening changes my mind.

I have a promo too and it is indeed leak 1.

mine looks the same as xceque's.

is there printing on your cd? mine does have the warp logo
and the title (or tilte) printed on. could be your seller
got panicked by the original cover, thought it looked
home-made (which it is!) and made a cover himself. something
like that?

I've only listened to it fully 2 times and something clicked
while listening to it the 2nd time - it sounds great. :)

I was too quick to compare it to older stuff - I certainly
see how they could come from confield and draft to this
album now.

you douchbags. just two weeks ago you were all complaining
how you hated the tracks that were posted as the new
autechre album, now that it's confirmed as actual autechre
you all love it. you people are pathetic...why not stick to
your own opinions...or is that too much to actual assume?

well, it could be a cd-r copy of a promo, I meant.

but if it has lettering etc. chances are it's the real
