there's still a few wierd things about that first leak that tells me it's not for real. the files were mixed quality, some CBR others VBR... the most likely (and sane) thing to do if you rip a cd would be to use the same quality on every file. |

hahaha!! lol yeah I usually only comment on stuff I like ;) I dont want to be negative, I dont have time to comment on all the bad stuff thats out there, most of the music out there sucks...if I hear something I like I love to give it props because its worh it (if some music sucks why make someone sad and tell him it sucks). So I just comment on the good stuff, thats why I mostly dont comment on the stuff made by people who make music on this and other boards because most of that music sucks imo..btw, hip hop is dead right now (used to be a hip hop head) :) but just ask me if u want to know what I think about any release? :) 85-90% of all releases suck. |

Being d'internet, i;ve no reason to doubt that this is true or not. The only result for me is : 1. i got an new Ae album and tour to look forward too 2. i got some tasety electronica which i really like from flourescent grey 3. i got throwaway entertainment form the hype here everyones a winner I can't see Ae album sale and/or fanbase being in anyway lessened from this experiment. the only thing is that it seems to yet another classic IDM hyped up facade that has zero to do with the reason d'etre for any of this .... the music. |

Well, just because it hasn't been proven fake doesn't mean it is real. It sounds like a load of wank anyway; I mean, only Ae could do some of those drumming patterns and it has typically Ae elements, but it still sounds weak, boring, and unfinished. I hope it's just some random Autechre tracks that they leaked themselves. |

its obvious that its geniunely autechre, but is it genuinely untilted? because i dont know, i burned it and it was just ok...kind of simplistic, just beats without melodies.....but i think i am going to wait until the real deal comes, whether it be the 69 minute leaked version or something else totally, to make a final judgement |

have you listened to it on headphones? sounds way better that way..and there are a few interesting parts inthere..but overally that drum programming is too strong..it destroys the music completly :( |

hoaxes certainly have their place... i think this one is interesting, although if i were to create a hoax, i wouldn't admit to it without being first revealed. i think giving the answer away devalues the experimental/artistic aspect of it and twists it into more of a self-promotional con... and if it is the case that the other "leak" isn't the final album, then i must commend autechre for circumventing the faulty system of album advances we now have in a clever way. |

i think its just the opposite, if you listen to the first two tracks on draft and then most on confield the drum programming is much more complex, this seems just like one or two layers of drums, autechre wrote it, buts it seems like a rough draft - also the melodies are non existant, is just minimal drums pattersn |

well, i haven't listened to much of draft - mainly because of those drum patterns, they just sound boring to my ears, so i can't comment on that. but there are synth melodies in untilted, very subtle, but they're there :) |
