I like this track, and I like this thread. I do have to
agree with young forck_02lynix when he says

"this sounds like the end of what he worked towards, the
wrong direction perhaps? maybe he got away from what he was
intending, and now came back to where he started with the
knowledge of what he did with drukqs. "
presumably
refering to Analord at the end there. I agree with that,
yes. I do.

it was a good debate, but ecnad, you didn't have to play
that card.

you just ruined it for me.

"Do you beleive that repeating the same thing (not
caring)
while consistantly showing you are irked will somehow
convince reader of your not caring?

I guess you are also a republican...repeat one message while

doing something else in the hope your retoric will outweigh

your actions. "

hehe yeah. ok! ive been switching subject and speaking as
nervously as woody allen these dayz. mad!!! mangle 11
(circui...mix) is a fantastic track. Adrenaline pumping type
of tune, great to go up a gear in a dull dj night i'd say.

there's like a 5second bit in that track that goes kinda
backwards/sloppy that makes me tense up

wicked!

The whole 5 seconds, are you sure there's not 0.5 seconds of
that segment that represents the real goods?

It's the best song to play at the end of a night, such a
good way to round up proceedings and leave on a high.

afx has been me fave for 13 years.
i do like this track, but would like to hear the original
tune. any analysis of it being drukqs or anything is a
complete waste of time. why bother like..
it could have been on any of his releases, but it wasnt, it
was on a compilation.. why overanalyze. none of us know what
was on his original playlist of hundreds of tunes, out of
which drukqs was culled out of.

we produce public opinion by discussing useless and stupid
things about electronic music, thats what we do, thats why
is this messageboard for, nothing and everything

the song is full of pierre henry samples, most notably the
lo-fi scream accompagnied of knocking sounds.

also, it's rumored that tom jenkinson is playing the bass,
can somebody confirm this?
seems believable to me

anyway, great track, i like the rough production.

I have this track on my Ipod but never knew what it was
released on. A friend of mine told me it was from a Rephlex
compilation but thats all I really got out of it..

Actually it may be my fav. Aphex track come to think of it.

I love that track. I got vinyl version of Rephlexions
specially for this track. The first thing I`ve thought was:
"Fuck yeah Richard is back!". But he is not. Analords are
really not my style. So Richard give us a proper album!

the end of mangle 11 sounds like a deliberate parody of
squarepusher go plastic.

the first time afx used an amen sample that i know of was on
the first track of Hangable Autobulb 1. He uses only the
bass drum and snare drum from the amen break, not the whole
loop.

the proper track complete with fade-out ending?

piece.
