i like all the 'useful links' on the bottom to pretty much every cellphone company ever.
i don't have a cell phone, nor do i plan on getting one anytime soon.
if i do get one, i will be getting the touch ringtones cd. it seems quite awesome.

it's better to have a cell phone than a land line -- i think they are generally cheaper (i share minutes with my dad, sister, and brother; together i think we have about 1500 and i don't think i've ever gone over 300), and of course you can take them with you, so if your car ever breaks down (in this freezing weather i'm just waiting to get stranded) you won't have to walk through the country in the middle of the night or something equally horrible.
of course having no land line means i have to use cable internet rather than dsl, oh well.

sadly it's kind of unavoidable and I think it kind of creeps in.. people sometimes don't even know they're doing it.
our own Bremzen used to immediately pick up his phone in the middle of a conversation, without saying anything. about6 months ago I slapped him in the mouth and to his credit he has never done it since, I think. it's only common courtesy to say something like "just a moment" before picking up - just as you would do if your phone rings at home (when people still had phones at home). besides sounding very self-righteous now, I wanted to make the point that I know Bremzen never meant to be impolite or something, it just creeps in, especially between mobile phone-users, I think.

I don't have a mobile.
A lot of friends who have them become addicted to their mobiles, they prefer to communicate with a distant person via sms or a phone talk, and don't listen attentively to the person who is near. Fucking mobile phone culture.
The mobile operators are fooling everybody, making lots of 'sales' and 'lowest prices', but still people pay for something else, so that it is equal to what they would pay with normal high prices.
