which also seems to imply the season 1 set sold pretty well.

news of a different nature..

"Wednesday, January 19, 2005

if y'all want to know what's new here's some cool news. I'm
working with cartoon network on a new show that i created
with my friend Tommy Blacha about a DEATH METAL band called
"DEATHCLOCK"- lots and lots of new original music to come. I
posted the theme song in the MEDIA section so check it out-
i dare you to try to figure out the lyrics, if you can I'll
come to your home town and make love to you and your
enemies- but back to the "DEATHCLOCK" mp3, expect fast
guitar and cookie monster vocals. This show will include
much shredding and murder. It will be exciting.

I'm having some meetings re: season 2 of home movies. I'll
post something when we figure out what the special features
will be. And yes I'm aware of the commentary level issues so
that will be corrected, and yes I will try to wear less
clothes (for all of my lady and gay fans- i'm getting the e
mails!)

And once again I am reading all of your emails!!! But I have
5 projects going on right now and am trying to go back and
return them(not the projects the other things that i was
talking about)! You guys are super awesome and can't wait to
get the next few projects out there!

MORE LATER my sweet morning angels.

brendon"

Yes I got season 1 the day it came out, I cant wait for
season 2.

And in slightly relatedness: All Dr. Katz episodes can be
downloaded from the Digital Archive Project

dr. Katz was funny.

but not as funny as Home Movies. which is really funny. they
could've called it Funny Movies, they're so funny.

Where Dr Katz fell short was the comedian segments. If it
was a bad comic, we were subjected to their bad
writing/jokes (but when it worked, whoo boy!).

I really liked the non-comedian segments of Dr Katz. The
dialog between Dr Katz & Ben was just precious 95% of the
time.

Home Movies is a lot like those sections of Dr. Katz in
terms of script (or lack thereof), timing, etc. Bgut what
makes home movies better is that you get to enjoy 6 or 7
reaally great characters instead of just 2 (and those 2 are
part of the home movies team, so there).

But yeah, Ben in awesome

the whole set-up to me is funnier. supposed 7-year-olds that
continually make silly films.

Home Movies is the greatest cartoon ever.

Oh yeah I guess I'm brendon.

what? I thought they were 9?

I made home movies with a friend of mine when we were kids
and it's funny how similar they were to the ones in the
show.

I really should digitaze those things and post some
screenshots sometime.
