the syrup i had was actually pretty yummy. up until the 3rd shot or so. definitely not as revolting as chewing up mushrooms though. you should be able to get dxm in pill form as well. |

it was interesting when my hand ceased to exist for a bit.... i was mucking about on a synth intently. at a certain point, i closed my eyes, and my hand went away. it felt like i was controlling the synth by telepathy. of course, my fingers were still moving the knobs; my brain had just accepted the synth as an extension of my body. |

Most interested part for me was my body becoming a sine wave form; that wave just rippling slowly through my body. ...and then as I crawled to the restroom like an sloth, I wondered how this shit was useful in any way. DXM could never win an experience battle with ganj. DXM versus vodka made in the back of a truck?- maybe. |

part of what makes DXM crap is the "body load" e.g. it makes you feel like shit while it's kicking in. consequently, i request jnasato's thoughts on DXM _and_ ganj. the truck vodka is a separate issue, dealt with on thursday night instead of saturday afternoon. |

i don't fuck around much with combos. the permutations stack up fast.... but ganj is, well, a rather stable compound. you might recall (featured for a minute or two in the brainman vid -- the part where he's making numbers out of play-dough). he about imaginary arms and stuff. |

hate drugs. still having small panic attacks from bad truffle trip. awful. i cant look at my hands too long it starts to bring it back. i dealt with it all spiffingly at the time, held myself down. the worst thing was the infinitly folding philosophising that didnt stop and just went faster and faster. i couldnt find this anywhere online but i actually ejaculated myself which i didnt notice till later. fucking horror shit fuck |

goddamn, looking back at this thread makes me so goddamn happy that i moved to california and was able to find real drugs. dxm just makes everything weird, as opposed to lsd, mda, mdma, shooms, etc, which make everything AWESOME |

Weird? I mean is that neccessarly bad? I refrain from glorifying drugs, so i wouldnt say that drugs that make you feel good are per se better. |

humans are full of patterns, and the point is to be in "good" patterns instead of "bad" patterns. it's ok to take something like dexedrine once in a while, as long as you don't acclimate to the effects. it should be a rare treat, not baseline. if you depend on stimulants (or opiates, or xanax, or weed, or whatever), it's like the low gravity in space; your mental muscles atrophy. you drift back to the original you, except now you've got a habit on top of the original problems the drug solved for a few months or years... and you'll be scared to quit, because you'll feel worse than you did to start with. this is distinct from psychedelics, deliriants, etc. which seem to temporarily break you out of your usual patterns. at that point, you can replace them with new good ones.... or bad ones, if you're careless. i suppose psychedelics, dxm, etc. can also become a respite from reality that you don't want to leave, though booze is a much more popular choice for that. |
