well REFLEX, here's my opinion... you're an asshole! But I better be careful not to get myself banned... cause then I'd have to start harrassing Phobiazero, and would have to go on watmm to slag off xltronic.com and all that... which is very stupid, idiotic and immature... and is really a pain in the ass and a lot of trouble, so I'll be quiet now...

yes, I agree... it's just a piano song, and a simple piano part I might add, sung by a guy who could never really sing that great... sure the message of the song is a good one, but the song itself ain't that great!

No, not at all. There's not one person on earth pious enough, other than maybe Mother Theresa, to give up a ''million pound'' house that they earned. He did his fair share of work for charity and other social causes (sometimes in a fucked up way, but he meant well), and no doubt he'd be an old softy today and donate, perform for benefit shows, all that stuff. Paul does it all the time.
The song is a ''simple piano tune'', nothing wrong with that. Got a catchy hook and a nice piano line. People read FAR too much into his lyrics, that's where I am the Walrus came from... having a go at the critics that think they know what they're talking about.

eh? That line is clearly denouncing materialism and so it's a bit rich coming from someone living in such splendour. I believe that was Earthleakage's point.

Everyone's greedy, of course there's some ego involved. You can't deny all the stuff they've done for charities and all that, Paul and George, especially. You can't accuse them of being tightwads. They've done far far more for the world than most or all of their peers.

yes you covered it as I was typing so my post was automatically outdated :) I was simply trying to clarify (I don't necessarily agree with my post) and totally agree with yours although I'm sure Mother Theresa is not entirely alone there. Let's not get into a 'celebs don't give enough of their money away' debate cos it was already done a few weeks back :)
